I have done it through a local club mate where Paul and I are members (Peterborough Motor Club), however it can be done direct i believe with the RAFMSA, here's the link http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafmotorsports...dchallenge.cfm

Paul and I had a great day out at the Barkston Heath sprint today. There were all sorts of cars there (39 in total) from Minis to a race prepared GT3 and a Radical. Can ran fantastically well and we soon got to grips with the track. Points are scored by predicting your times so as to cover the various different cars, I estimated pretty well as I was only 0.4 seconds out on the morning and afternoon sessions.
Overall I was 4th in terms of time, just 2.5 seconds (My lap was 55.4 seconds) behind a Hayabusa powered Mini on slicks ! The GT3 and Radical were also quicker. Still not a bad effort on roads tyres with circa 400bhp.
This was Pauls first ever competitive sprint and he started the day 3 seconds back on my time in the morning and on his best run in the afternoon was just 1.5 behind, cracking result for him.

Sounds fun Clive!
My mate was only just speaking to me about me doing some other sprinting in my car... will have to look in to this kind of thing locally for sprinting / hill climbing. Sounds just the ticket for having a good laugh.

Was very good, nice to do something as well organised as this without having to get the car to MSA reg standards.
Good mix of people and cars, in fact only 3 Imprezas there. But you literally had from a £500 205 GTI right upto the Radical and the 911 GT3.
The RAF website is not great so if anyone wants the forms etc PM me your email address and I will send them through to you. You have to join the RAFMSA (£10 per year) and then the events start at £40.

Hope so as I run 2.2 bar
Still not convinced after trying 109 and not getting as good a result as a 20% meth mix. Still worth the experiment imo as if it works it's cheap bhp ! Also got a new inlet manifold going on before Paul maps it in a couple of weeks which we hope will free up the top end a little.

Interested in knowing why the 119 was an issue to Map though Steven? or when you find out Clive if you could let me know out of interest.

no.. but I have played with similar, lots on one particular car.
the beauty of the sunoco 109 is that it mixes with vpower nicely so tranferring between fuels is easy and hassle free.. you have a 1/4 tank of 109 left you fill with vpowqer and just switch to 10% meth / e85 equivalent etc and it is safe to use without hassle.
Or even when you drain the tank there is always a little left.
The 109 gets to MBT on a subaru engine (unless there is a restriction / issue somewhere), and it is oxygenated by 4.5%.
The Maxnos is not oxygenated and the 119ron over 109ron will gain nothing as you will see mbt on 109. So for the extra hassle of working with lead and the lack of oxygen content and the non-mixing of fuels and pointless extra 10ron.
The only gain is you can run it leaner and nearer most power producing AFR, but that is not going to overcome imho the lack of oxygen.
just expressing my opinion.

I know Martin has used this stuff with good results, but I am not going to argue with Simon as I really have no tech knowledge in this area.
This will be a trial for me, I don't need to mix or change between fuels on this car as you will all know as it's just a competion car now. If it does not work then so be it, 109 didn't compared to the meth mix.
Just want to make sure we have the optimum for TOTB tbh, there are some fast EVOs to beat !
