Type R caged track machine
Have since found out I had two different versions of heads fitted one was a v2 and the other a v3 dont know if this could have had ant affect on its slight laggyness or not.
Have replaced both heads for v3 ones replaced engine for a 2.1 stroker with full supporting mods and had the turbo rebuilt, should be getting the car back end of this week hopefully.
Cheers.
Yeah, the v.1/2 ones are limiting, and having one v.2 and one v.3 wouldn't have been ideal.
The combo of the higher flowing v.3 heads + 100cc extra will drive the 20g harder - should spool quicker/nicer. Please do report back with results/subjective feel, etc...

I have mentioned earlier in the thread that I had a STI4 with a 20g previously and that did not spool as well as my old set up of a T on a 2.0. However that has now been eclipsed by the type R's spool. Looking forward to getting it mapped now
I would have purchased a 321H, but a fully refrub'd/balanced/ported 20g popped up at a great price. Plus I'd find it difficult to part with c.£800+ for a 2nd hand 321H.
So I just wanted to try and get a handle on how a 20g spools on a 2.0L. If, after I get it fitted/mapped, I don't like it, then I'll prob eat humble pie and replace with that 321H anyway...

TBH there isnt much between the 20G and the H and this is comming from Andy'F, there was a thread on 22b comparing the two of them, will need to try and dig it out

Not a great deal to update on this week, ordered a battery box to relocate the battery and made up a lead (4awg) from some old Stereo wires I had knocking around from a car I broke previously, got loads of them but never been in to stereo gear. Proves my hording of parts pays off now and again

BTW, selling the white Buddy Club wheels from the blue car if anyone is interested £300. I actually ordered some drag radials this week but they are 17" so I have no need for these wheels now.
