Thank you Chris. See you sometime this week to sort out the disc.
Cheers Andy & Sam. I am hoping to get a new set of wheels any day now. So onwards & upwards.(This could need a new thread starting)
Dazza Jess is being the ultimate nurse & fussing round me good & proper. Water needs to be a bit warmer for the "blanket bath" though.
Matt I have replied to your PM.
Annoying is one of many words I think of. Most have four letters though BeeSTi

Right then I have a bit of up-dating to do.
First off thanks to Chris for coming round to help me sort out the tax disc & give the battery a boost.
Then a big thank you to Stu for giving up his morning to run me to Broomfield & then coming back a couple of hours later to run me home.
It was a bit worrying when they got a mini angle grinder out to cut the cast off. And I thought my toes were going to vibrate off when they set to with it.
Good news is they replaced the cast with a plastic boot that has 4 air pockets which inflate to grip all round my leg & stop it moving. This means I don't have to go back every 2 weeks for a plaster cast change as they have showed me how to take it off, adjust the angle of my foot & then put it back on & pump it up.
It has to stay on at night but I can take it off for essential maintenance & valeting. Jess is not helping as she keeps laughing at me now saying I look like the Transformer in the Citroen advert.
I think it's more the Honda Asimo robot
Or maybe Herman Munster
What do you reckon?

Bit of an update on my leg. I have had my first hospital visit since the Robocop boot went on 6 weeks ago & all seems well. The tendon is knitting together as it should & I only have 1 wedge left out of the 4 that were in the boot. My next hospital visit is on 11th May to hopefully lose the boot & get back into normal shoes. I don't know how Paul can wear those heels yet alone walk in them.
My first wedgie
A triple wedgie

I bet Royal Mail are loving you. Have they mentioned ill health retirment yet.
Back in October Sandra pulled her back and they are trying to give her this. Joke really long long story. but the Managers are useless and cant do their jobs properly. 5 attempts at rehab duties in the end and still not sorted properly.
Will tell you all about it when I see you next.

I was accepted & had a provisional offer for Voluntary Redundancy just before Christmas but turned it down as I wanted a little P/T job & there is nothing about with the credit crunch.
No pay rise this year either but Crozier got his £200,000 plus bonus.
I think I may stay off a bit longer with stress.
