I got well & truly plastered at the weekend . . . . .
. . . . . and will remain plastered for at least the next 8-10 weeks.
Due to the brain & muscles of a 20-something year old & the sinews of a FOOL whilst trying to push a van (small Escort sized) just 1/2 a foot I snapped my Achilles tendon.
Proper crack or gun shot type twang when it let go. Then total blast of hot pain up my calf luckily followed by shock which dulled everything down.
My first plaster has my toes pointing as far down as possible like a bleedin ballet dancer. Then in 2 weeks they take it off & wind my foot back a little & reapply the plaster for another 2 weeks. Then keep repeating until it's back to 90 degrees. Then the physio starts.
So all in all I am not a happy bunny.

You are still more than welcome to pop round as per our previous conversation. You may have to stir the tea though as I fall over when I let go of one of my crutches.
My next appointment is Thursday 12 March 10.15am Broomfield Hospital. Any help getting to & from would be greatfully received. I did nearly £50 in taxis when flitting to A&E & the fracture clinic the other day.

Thanks Stu. If you can that would be really great.
Thanks for your well wishes guys it's very much appreciated.
I have taken a quick couple of pain killers & once they kick in I had better be off to bed.
Catch you all later.
