Good for you I accept that you might disagree but talking rubbish, err no, talking my opinion...
I test drove one for a second car and was left cold.TRUE, you have to spank the **** off it to get going, 2.0ltr Not my bag at all, poorly made and poorly executed.IMHO TRUE, the plastics are nasty and the seats are rubbish, the doors sag after 20k usage, I have never seen so many stone chips attracted by a bonnet design Wheels are oversized, .IMHO TRUE, only adding to the already appalling road noise and road vibrations suspension is ridiculously hard to the point of the rear view mirror wanting to bounce off the windscreen..TRUE, Rattled over anything but the smoothest of roads It's a tarts car and doesn't deserve an ST badge..IMHO TRUE
If you like it great, I thought it was poor IMHO.

best interior materials
dont think so
every car is a compromise you cant get the perfect car for everybody
thats why people spend millions every year modding their car to make it better
for the money the fiesta is a great wee car ,yes it has its its faults so does subaru cars
you have to own a car for a while to find the finer qualities in it
i love the car and would have another one anytime geo

I have a 06 Zetec S (petrol coz they do a diesel version also).
In fact, this is my second one.
Great all rounder for me as I have a longish commute. Even driving 'forcefully', it will do close to 40mpg. Not much power so you can explore the limits of the car before it exposes yours!
I reckon it was better balanced than the ST, especially after test driving them both in pouring rain - agree with the comments that the ST is too hard and 'over-wheeled'.
We go out as a family of regularly in it. I think it's a great car.

I did about 60 miles in my mates one today, although it wasn't a definative test by any stretch of the imagination. This is a 4 month old very low mileage one.
Engine: much torquier than expected, noticeably better above 3500rpm but loses interest around 5000rpm (still loosening up?). Very noisy but doesn't sound nice. NEEDS a 6th gear badly.
Ride: better than my coil-over equipped GTR but choppy.
Handling: grippy, twitchy, not particularly engaging.
Overall: fun but didn't feel like 150bhp. Couldn't live with the coarse engine shouting at me all the time. Liked the interior (full leather plus all the options) but better to borrow one than own one, I reckon.
