It's all a load of bo11ocks anyway.I had a 106 GTi before my Scoob and if Drivel had used one instead of a S**o, well...........in a way I miss the 106 and it could and did p1ss all over VTS,s.
But using the S**o against Scoobs and Evo's......may as well pit a Smart car against a Caterham!

 

Interesting as the 106 & vts is the same car more or less. I think the vts was lower geared, just right for outdragging the 106's of the mark.........

 

Knowing how Driven group tests work my money's on the Saxo - as long as it does the tests with foglights on of course.

Can't believe how much of a stir this has caused !!

God knows who will win it out of the Scoob and the Evo... The arguments will rage on until the moos come home ! I'm sure they'll treat it as one of those "which car offers best performance per pound" load of bo11ox tests.

As if someone with £20k plus to spend on a motor is even going to consider a tinny little Saxo !?! Totally different cars !! Daft !!

Driven a 106 GTI (more or less the same car) and thought it was good fun. Nasty build quality (typically French) and handled like a go-kart. I'm 6ft 5ins tall too, so I couldn't live with one (knees either side of me head whilst driving it )..

I'd also hate being associated with the the to55ers that mostly drive them !! (Fog lights on, big tunes with windows down in city centres, screeching from lights and doing 60 is 30 limits etc..).. unfortunately they are rapidly becoming the new Nova SRI.

Scoob or Evo - mmm yes please !!

Choice of a new Saxo VTR/S or a 2nd hand Civic VTI, Rover 200VI, or a Pug 306 GTI-6 for the less money... poxy Suxo wouldn't get a sniff !!

Then I became a Scooby tosser!! Only Joking, Yep most (and I mean most) saxo's are driven by tossers but I miss my old VTS.

Driven should be a laugh tonight.

In the Saxo I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Any car that I came up against at the lights (Scooby's, BMW's etc) I would try to out drag, however in MY00 I feel like I have everything to lose when some squirt pulls up next to me in his 106/saxo/escort/honda, it doesn't quite feel so satisfying (although it is fun letting them go then out dragging them in first!!)

Anyway, sodding Saxo's bound to win

Wouldnt place too many bets on the Scoob in that one.

I have to say comparing Hot hatches to Saloons is rather stupid thou, as for me if i wanted a fast and fun car to take me and the family around a Scoob or Evo would win every time, if i wanted a fun, chuckable, laugh a minute, didnt have any rear seated passengers, i would go for the hatch.
