The is a grey Plug and socket to be found on top of it clearly visible ,but mines disconnected.
Is your's connected.
I can be contacted on 01634 294999

Regards,

DAve.

Thanks for that, it appears to me that it should be connected, otherwise surely it would have been taped against the loom rather than them looking at each other.

Sorry Dave ,Yes air con does appear to work.

Appear to work ? I don't tink so. As far as I can see that grey plug is the a/c wiring on our UK STi. It should be plugged in.

On my STI7 it is plugged in.
It is definately to do with the air con as that is the air con pump.
Try with you engine on turning on the ai co and listen for a clicking sound every noe and again which is the magnet locking the motoer on and off.

MY01 WRX - First service - dealer asked 'did you unplug this to make the car go faster'
'Wot' said I
'The Air Con' Said he

It turns out that although i thought the A/c was working (light was on - cold air) it wasn't working

Plugged it in and heh presto A/C !!

No idea why It wasn't but ask your dealer - He should Know
