I must be lucky then...no plate for 18months and stick on plate for longer...I've got the Police Interceptors to deal with too

Always a difficult decision where to position the plate. We can't all have the small plates. I tried and was stopped by police the same day.
Strange as I've had one for over 3 years, don't live far from you Clive, and have never had a pull (so to speak).

That's me fooked now as I'll get stopped every 50 feet from now on for tempting fate...

Yep. first day I had the car back John.
They said "It's for your convenience sir because if your car is stolen we won't be able to read the Nr plate on cameras" ??
Yeah right !

I've changed the oil ready for more mapping which is going to take place with Simon on Friday.
Since it was first mapped I found a header leak (one of the manifold studs was loose) and I've binned the induction trumpet and the filter was too small. I now have a larger filter that bolts straight onto the turbo.

Will be trying a 25% meth mix and hopefully some race fuel too.

I've taken a deposit for it, the buyer will be collecting at the end of the month. I'm more than likely going back to a rotated set up. The purpose of the mapping session on Friday is to A, get the best out of my current setup and B: have a benchmark figure before my planned winter upgrades take place.

Simple,

I first had dealings with Oli and Matt from RCM about 8 years ago when mine was the first classic six speed conversion they carried out.
Ever since that first introduction they have always got it right first time everytime. I've never had to complain once. Anything I've wanted from them has always been delivered if they haven't got something they either get it for me or let me know where I can get it.
With the exception of a few bits and pieces most of the parts of my car have come from there.

I have a great customer / supplier relationship with them and they always make time for me whether its at their workshop or at an event.

I contacted Oli and asked permission to use the graphics and he put me in contact with his graphics people that sent me the necessary designs.

You'll also note that I've deliberatly not copied the gobstopper design and had my own take on it made for me.

Not that I have to justify what I put on my car but hopefully that answers your question fella.

It's bang on legal that's all that matters. It's one less reason for the police to give me grief.

Chris I'll be better able to answer that once I have a direct comparisson between front mounted and rotated mounted. However one of the main reasons for going back to rotated is noise levels. The front mount stuff is ok for an occasional use track day car but as mine is used as often as possible and on the road its just too noisy. However, if i go back to rotated and lose a significant amount of spool then I will probably revisit the front mount stuff and try and reduce noise to make it suitable for being a road car.

Another mapping session with Simon tonight at Surrey rolling road. 540 bhp and 500 ft lbs on v power. Then onto 25% methanol vpower mix it made 601 bhp and 565 ft lbs. I'm a happy chap tonight. :d
