Well done mate. Nice to see it still moving forward. I appreciate how much all this crap cost lol.

Im thinking crinkle black for the cam covers too Daz. Dill all my old cossie YB motor in it. Looks so nice. Shame it looks naff with the flash on the camera lol.

Debating on converting my cam cover breathers to -AN fittings before painting them first?

It comes in a can if you look on the p2 thread there's a link on there. I've replied using my iPhone otherwise I'd have pasted the link. It a VHF wrinkle paint and comes in a spray can.
Frayz , it would look nice but expensive considering they are just breathers.

Very, very close then, I know the Syvecs is a bit of an outlay but other than that.

I've had some DEI Titanium heat wrap turn up today so I managed to get the manifold done.

Compared to ceramic coating it looks tatty as hell but it's wrapped evenly, I've wirelocked every 5 cm or so and its had a couple of coats of DEI high temp wrap sealing spray so it's as good as it can be with wrap.

Looking good Daz, i think im going to wrap my up/downpipes when theyre done. My manifold is ceramic coated but i cant afford to do the other stuff at the moment so wrap will have to do.

If youve wire locked it, it should be fine.

Looks good.

Out of interest, what wire did you use? Any special tools or just a set of pliars?

Just some proper lock wire, some pliers and some side snips. Wire cost me £3 from ebay

Hi Daz,

Great stuff, looking forward to some excellent finished results.
Just one question, are you sure that wrap is titanium? I thought the dei titanium wrap was more brown / copper ? I think Harvey prefers the non titanium wrap anyway .

Great thread & keep up the good work.

Daz

What power are you expecting from your set up?

And more importantly where are you wanting to see your turbo spool up...ie 1 bar @ ***rpm

We are indeed looking for the fastest spool up from a big turbo asap. And hope everything works out well for us both as currently only you and i are going the same route

I should see a result from my build soon

It's definately the titanium stuff. This is all I have left from 50ft of the stuff. This is the colour before it got sprayed with DEI sealer.

Peter, I'm expecting mid to high 500's with the current setup as I have the standard cams in which I think will significantly restrict things. Once I replace the cams with Cosworth S2 cams and the 0.63 exhaust housing for a 0.82 one then I'd like to break the 600 barrier possibly 650 on race fuel but I just want to get the bugger built and running right before I set real targets.

Spool up wise as long as it's comparable with my old GT30R I'll be happy.

Yes, as above the colour of it wrapped around the manifold is after I sprayed it.

The piece lying on the manifold is what it looked like before it was sprayed.

Daz,

I think you'll be looking at near 600 and with spool up better than a rotated GT30.
Which would mean 1 bar at low 3k and full boost before 4k.

It will be awesome for road use.

Also is you current heads ported?
Supertec valves in there?

No porting yet Peter but I do have supertec valves, double valve springs, titanium retainers and solid 1 piece lifters.

Hopefully spool will be good too
