Bluerigster. when my car is complete I will be entering many events and 10 of the best will certainly be an option. Knowing Marti, he will. He's up for some competition too.

I will enter the pro street drag series next year and scoobyshoot out,i hope to be in ten of the best if i am invited ,need to get in the 10s first .Already started removing excess weight from the car.Removed 30 kilos so far. Will be running race fuel and Mickey t's next year ,so should see just over 600bhp.
I hope i will be in the 10's then .

TOTB is invite only and having a fast car doesn't automatically qualify you to enter so, what does? is it all to do with being "in" with the crowd? and can you qualify with a slow car? obviously the answer is no to the last question, so how do you get to "qualify"? wondered this for a long time

Steve, start your own project thread, it might make me take pics of what i am doing
Skullfudge, you are in very capable hands with Matt and Olly, you may end up with a 9/10 second car, but not everyone is a 9/10 second driver
Good luck, and keep the updates coming.

Also, the standard of other cars is exceptional year on year. 2 years ago, i ran 10.59 and finished 11th on the quarter, only the top 10 score points!

There are more than 10 subarus I can think of that would stand a better chance of scoring points in all disciplines than mine, so I wasnt suprised not to make it. Mines more of a one trick pony, but Ill have a go on the handling at SSO next year so well see how it goes.
Im just saying doing 10s doesnt mean you will be in the team, like somne people may think.

Hi Everyone.
I guess some may be interested in my current project, so I will keep this thread updated for those interested.
Purchased my car nearly 3 yrs ago. An original P1 that had been looked after and had modifications as picture below.
HKS Induction - PACE f/m Inter cooler - Ali Radiator and was running at around
310 bhp.
The car ran well with good handling due to newly fitted original Prodrive springs & dampers.
After a year I wanted more power and after spending much time looking into the various companies I decided to go to Roger Clark Motorsport.
Matt Clark designed and built the engine which took several months to complete but it was worth the wait.
Here is the FULL list of engine details:-

The Inter Cooler is an APS series R 725 (9075cm3). The P1 in the picture below is not my car however the Intercooler in the same model. The car in the picture, RCM's Impreza "The Gobstopper" and my car basically have the same block and internals but are running at different specs.
My engine is 800bhp + compatible however it's currently restricted to 420 - 430 bhp by the turbo.
We need to make the car stronger so it will cope with 600bhp + when the twisted turbo is fitted in early 2009.
My existing provdrive brakes have been sold and just had all new AP Racing brakes fitted at RCM.
Fronts are 6 pot AP Racing on 355mm discs and rears are 4 pot on 320mm's
Next up is new suspension being fitted in November.
They are EXE TC with 40 adjustments available to all corners. Olly Clark was telling me that around 25ish for road and 30 - 35 for track days, hill climbs extra. Will be subject to conditions and locations.
Dec / Jan will see a new 6 speed box with RCM internals?, Carbon prop, drive shafts and possible diff changes.
The engine management (Motec 800M) was mapped by Dave Rowe of Motec.
Anti Lag is enabled and Launch Control will be enabled when running at 600+.
The new suspension should prove good as I lose traction on damp roads in 4th gear at the moment. It is my everyday car and although it's very quick it can be driven normally without any problem.
When complete we are expecting the following performance stats:-
0 - 60mph & back to zero in under 6.0 seconds
0 - 100mph in 7: something?
Here are a couple of odd pictures with the last picture being the most recent.
Will keep this post updated.

Pass the tissues please!!
It's a beauty, yes, it's a lot of money to spend on a Rice Rocket, but what a rice rocket!!!!
All the best with it!

I think you only become a 9/10 sec "driver" once you have had the experience of them.
That is one benefit of a project like this. I have not gone from 300bhp straight to 600 / 700.
The way things are planned out will mean I have gone from 310 to 420 (current)
to an estimated 580 then on to 600+ and whatever we end up with.
The car is fairly lively now and the feeling from the tyres to the seat is really good.
That is what needs to remain throughout the power increase.

i would not take too much notice of the chequebook modding comments how you get there is of no importance mate its the end result. i am too going through the same thing all be it on a smaller budget with zen performance and im so happy with the results so far i think there my be a bit of envy appearing from some but crack on mate
isnt most the big power cars on the same budgets as you (time attack)
im looking for the 450/500 mark as advised by some to stick with that
crack on mate
looked good on track sunday i have some footage of you as i was behind you will burn to disc for you

I am not sure what ECU you are running, or what mods you have, but the RCM400 has and is working really well. Comes in at around 3500 on mine.
Have fun

Not that I'm suggesting skullfudge and marty can't drive, but I'm sure they will be the 1st to admit that it takes practice to make perfect

I have been on a few track days this year ,also done about 20 runs down the drag strip ,slowly getting quicker ,it does take a lot of practice ,best time so far is 11.7 at 124mph ,i know i can get the times down some more ,main problem is changing gear faster and better tyres .
