That's the first of two problems Rich, once you reach certain levels of modification, the bug bites and you keep looking for more .

Problem Nr 2 is when do you stop

just thinks its not caught many peoples attention - for an extra £20 you get a lot more runs than a normal RWYB - weather permited - should be a good day

Pics look good. That is one "wolf in sheeps clothing"

I may be up for that Sy.
Also having a OS Gilken triple plate clutch fitted and the RCM release bearing.
Olly also advised as you did about the release bearing.

How's yours mate. Do you have it mapped yet?

Clive, you wont be disapointed with the clutch.

Mine is mapped but slight set back, inlet manifold is restricting flow, so Cossie one ordered. Essentally 610 at 2 bar, but only 635 at 2.3 bar, was expecting c650-675 at 2.3/4 bar - so until cossie manifold comes Im leaving it at 2 bar. NOS will add 50 but mapped for spool mainly.

So will run 610 + 50 NOS at 30-130 get some miles under the car,as total rebuilt last year and needs a good shake down. I will fit the cossie manifold and a few other tweeks and get remaped again mid March -

Gearbox weakest link now (Gear Sets)- (but better one being engineered/built but 3 months away)

VP Import - engine and fuel will take 2.5 bar (aledgely) - but if I cant get the airflow though the engine may change to 109 unleaded and a tad more NOS.

TBH not sure how much I need the extra 40BHP - but would be nice to see all the parts doing what they should.

Where did you get those wheel trims from and are they the ceramic acrilamide kevlar composites that I thought were just far fetched rumours?

I will leave that to Matt, but Olly mentioned that they had good results from the 30/37 (44mm waste gate). It could well be that one. The pipe work looked well impressive.

Your clutch has lasted well Marti.

I know you were expecting a little more from you set up but 635 is pretty impressive ! Whats' the torque numbers ? Have you consider E85, not tried it myself yet as I have maxed out my 850's and need bigger injectors if I go that route, I currently run a 20% meth mix.

Isn't the 30/37 a HKS unit ? (uprated version of the GT30R)

Clive(Mad),

Havent got the graphs yet, and there will be some final tweeking, so not sure of the torque. I considered E85, as my fuel system has the capacity (8 injectors+ 2x044s) to take it, but as I run the car mainly for drag and the odd track day, the fuel costs are relatively not that expensive in the context of what the project cost in total. But may reconsider E85 later this year. My worry is the corrosive element of E85 (I have a bag tank and its leaking slightly already -may be a connector thou). Ive used a mix of Meth before, without problems - but will see how E85 is taken up by others in the next few months.

Hope to see you at 30-130 for a look at your mota.

If you get 600 out of that turbo I'd be suprised. It's the one I had and sold on.

Are you sure they aren't refering to the garrett GT37R? This is bigger than a 35 but smaller than sy's 40.

By all accounts the GT35 struggles for 600 unless you start adding funny fuels into the equation

Thumbs up

Good Clive, minor cosmetic work being done as we speak - I'll take it to your boys later when I put a whole new spoiler and splitter on, but for now it's being tarted up by my local back street boy so it should look a little bit less of a shed come 30-130.

Runs well and 6 speed & big rear diff feel good, but Pavlo is recommending some other minor things as well - ceramic coating of headers and downpipe, wide band lambda, and an update of my elderly Motec software to the latest version. Will probably do that later in the year.

The gearing will be very short (at 160 or so) in terms of top end and number of gearchanges for the 30-130 day and the power will also be on the lightweight side compared to the likes of Sy and you, but then the short gears and early spool up (3600) should be spot on for a track.

See where your coming from there mate, I was considering E85 as I won't have to spend too much more (only injectors and mapping) to maybe reach that magic 600, will leave it for a while and enjoy what I have though as 580 @2bar on just a 35R ain't bad going.

I am looking forward to seeing yours and some of the other cars going, mine was built on a relatively tiny budget, all the dosh has done on engine and drivetrain, the bodywork etc is somewhat embarrising at the mo
