The headgasketless system will be done after the new turbo is fitted at the same time as the NO2.
The new turbo's are at RCM now I believe. I have left it with Olly as to when to fit it along with 6 speed / rear diff etc.
It,s just working out when to do it cos I have Brands on Feb 27th & 30 -130 on Mar 8th.
I am trying to push RCM to get it done asap but they are busy at mo.
Clive - Ah I see now-

Phase 1 (End of Feb)- Rotated Turbo - 6 speed - 590-600

Phase 2 (Later) - Nos + Gas O Rings 700ish

If you go for the triple plate Giken, I can stongly recommend the RCM concertric relase bearing, makes the clutch so light and easier to control.

Baly

Sorry to hear about the accident - hope your okay - is yr car pre face lift? - ive got a pre face lift silver alloy bonnet if this will help.

Sy

Sy... that's it mate.

Phase 1 was the engine / brakes and suspension.
Phase 2 (current) is 6 speed box / plated rear diff / clutch & turbo
Phase 3 gas O rings headgasketless setup and NO2.

Thanks about the RCM concertric relase bearing, will see Matt.

I'll be glad when it's all over. Seems to be forever waiting....................but I know it will be worth it.

Spoke to Matt yesterday trying to achieve a date for the works.
He is flat out finishing two other cars at the moment and will be contacting me in two weeks time to advise me on a date.

This is the only downside to using the tuners/companies/individuals that are regarded among the best.
My best mate is having a custom bike built by one of Europe's best bike builders and he experiences the same. Fifteen months, £24K and it's only 70% complete.

Rather than get stuck into one project it's a case of needing to have several going at the same time to keep customers . It then becomes an issue as customers start to get pi**ed waiting.

I hear the same from Zen customers, but again they too are at the high end of the scale with a great reputation.

It's like Olly said to me once, "our problem is that we only have one Matt"
which is fair comment.

I used to get the hump with it, but now, I just chill out because I realise their situation and the end product.

If any of you guys intend to use the big boys for big mods, be prepared for a long wait.

Also be prepared for an awesome and very rewarding result.

Awesome looking car of Big Fuds.

He has a guy looking at it today from Ireland.
I have convinced a good friend of mine to get an Impreza and we shall be taking a trip to view Big Fuds 22B if it's still for sale.

I must admit I do love them.

Tell me about it Clive. I ordered a Rolex Daytona S/Steel Watch 5 years ago and had a phone call just before Christmas telling me that I was next on the list and should be getting the watch in the next 18 months. So I know all about waiting.

PS 22B now you got me thinking Uuuuuuummmmmmm

Clive

Pavlo is Paul - the boss of Zen Performance and the man who (very promptly) fitted my exe tc suspension, 6 speed box and new brakes a couple of weeks ago.

He's also the man who has recently fettled a certain 1.5GL that was in at the same time as my car and so is pretty well placed to know who's at 600 already...

He speaks the truth about the Navara but he also has a certain dark green wide arch impreza that you'd have seen in Time Attack last year...

Damn cover blown!

I do actually have our advertiser account back and sorted, but not required for banter!

I don't know about the GL, you'll need to ask Sy about that.

That'll teach you to laugh at me when I got owned by Steven on the 22B "do you leave your cam covers off " post

Sy's car is currently listed as an "? impreza" on the 30-130 entrant list which pretty much sums it up really...

I think Sy's claims about the Turbonator are somwhat overstated. It looks like we might have to have a rethink about all this stuff. Despite the "too good to be true" aspect of it, I was sold at first their claims really stand up to the test. But the developmental unit we have here show promise, perhaps you'd just be better off going from a 1.X engine (Sy's 1.5 isn't exactly standard ) to maybe a high compression, big bore 2.7 NA engine with twin Turbonators, some trick heads and cams with phase ported tripode profile inlets are on the cards with a view to revving to as much as 8300rpm. Sy has even mentioned a flux something-or-other but 600hp seems such a long way away.

Back to the drawing board I suppose, perhaps a little nitrous will lift the results a little
