3 on my bike for doing 75 in a 50 outside Brands Hatch when going to the World Superbikes in 97. Got done by a hidden mobile camera, argued the toss it wasn't me as I was in a pack of 100's of bikes, they sent me the photo, had to hold my hands up and say fair cop g'vnor! Made a lovely trophy! Kent police must have made a fortune that day, w@nkers busting people while hiding under a bridge with tens of thousands of bikes turning up for a huge bike meeting!
They stay for 5 years, but that means nothing as insurance companies look at 5 years history. And yes 3 points does make a difference on quotes. Plus what you do on your bike should not count towards car insurance, I certainly don't drive a car like a drive a bike, no comparrison! Total rip off as usual!

Free T is sort of right. The points count under the totting up system for three years, and you can apply for a new copy of your licence with the points removed after 4 years.
But insurance companies can still ask for details of any convictions for your whole life and not just recently if they want too. I was asked by one for details on any accidents or convictions for the last ten years, fortunately I was count speeding once only in July 1991, and my last accident was in August 1991, so outside the ten year period.

Just as an aside, I have noticed a piece of cr*p spelling by me in my mail, but I can't edit the message, and every time I have ever tried to edit on of my messages it won't let me. Can anyone tell me why I am unable to edit my own messages?
