I've got 5.
I know of someone who's got 14 and has still got his license. The court reckoned the worry of being stopped again for a few years would be worse than a ban. Needless to say he drives very slowly.

I have 6 for an IN10 (no insurance), when riding my MX bike across a field when I was 18 (I was stupid then).
They have gone, but never got my license reprinted!(11 years later!!)

6....all in one go. Doing 80 in a 50 limit. In my defence it was a dual carriage way NOT in a built up area...straight road, late at night. The camera had never worked before that day-DOH!

Think its 3 years till you dont have o declare them depending on your insurance company, but it is 4 years till they can be removed from your license. No doubt if i'm wrong someone will correct me.
I got 6 points when i was 17 for NI, when i moved my friends car from a steep hill with blind crest after they got cramp in leg. Thought i was insured as i drove parents cars, (well actually i never even thought) Police drove past as we swapped places, wrong place wrong time. Well and truly cleared them now.

From a high points tally of 11 I now have none.
I got 5 in one hit for doing 89 on a motorway towing a trailer (couldn't see the cop car, trailer in the way). Got an SP10 for it (speeding in a goods vehicle???).
