no its set to come on at a certain temp as its there to reduce the charge temps when they get dangerously high

water appearing to make you feel colder is nothing to do with water injection and dont work anything like this

its there to cool the charge air when it gets too hot,,,, it only comes on when its needed

The scoob i was sat in. Every time the throttle was opened the blue Aquamist guage would light up to show the mix is flowing.

pointless then as the water is not a fuel ( ok the methanol is )

if its programed to come on with high ACT's then he wont have to refill it every 2 days

I run 50 / 50 water methanol injection which kicks in at about 1 bar boost and the amount of water / methanol rises as the boost rises.

It's complicated.... as the charge cools then the air just about to enter the engine cools and the pressure drops (I think it's Boyle's law) so boost has to increase to compensate. Add in Methanol which reduces RON but increases the available oxygen and you need a mapper who knows his business

It's not a cost effective way of adding BHP as it's expensive to buy and takes some expertise in fitting for the more complicated systems.. but it's an "easy" way to add BHP without NOS or changing a lot of mechanical engine components

its not about adding BHP though, its about allowing for the engine to be cooler to allow for more boost if that makes sence

intercoolers also allow for more boost but aint there for to increase the BHP

just like nos aint a fuel but is oxygen and the nitrogen cools the engine charge to allow the advance of ignition,,,, but that natually adds pure oxygen wich will burn faster than air
