bit of an up date as last two days have been a bit of a mission
fitted the 6 speed prop and rear diff and went to fit driveshafts and would not fit so done abit of reseach and some help of the guys on the 22b site and found that the dif that came with the 6 speed was a 180 diff and my old diff is 160 so shafts are different so had to take it off but to fined out if my old diff would work i had to find out what ratio the 6 speed diff was first so took the plate of the back of the six speed diff and had to count the teeth on the cw and pinion to work out the ratio which the guys helped on the 22b site again so all sorted now

the other problem is the braided fuel line i bought will not work in my fixings and have been told that the only one that will be best for the fixings will be the goodridge stuff and it's like £20 + a meter and i need about 2 and half of it

Lee,
Can I just say that after our little chat and look at your project, I think I have never seen anyone so enthusiastic about a car and what needs doing to it

Your attention to detail is fantastic and you should be working for a race team somewhere. When you started talking about diff ratios you lost me completely but when I left I realised I understood because of your explanation

Awesome work mate and keep it up

goodridge braided fuel line came today and cost £ 70+ for 2 1/2 meters but i can say that you pay for what you get and it is top stuff
also i have my header tank heat spacers and injector adapter kit from Carl Davey which are top stuff
hopefully get my to rear diffs down to my mate in the morning to get the plates swapped over as the six speed prop is larger than the five and the holes are out
i know i could turn the shaft mark new holes and then drill but want to do it this way by swapping plates instead
hopefully get pics and more progress asap

Was great to pop up yesterday Lee, VERY impressed with how the engine's coming along. Can't wait to see the car back on the road, it'll be back better than ever. Was really impressed by the attention to detail you've gone to. Research definately pays off, you've built up a wealth of Subaru knowledge.
Thanks to Kerry for the coffee and biscuits too.

starting to lose interest in it abit as i have no more funds and never seem to have the time to spend on it plus things are not selling so no funds that way would love to keep going but reality is hitting home with the lack of money and time and just no motivation to get the job done so think this will be it for a few weeks

I know exactly how youre feeling mate... I had to take a 5 month "time out" because it was all getting too much. Just sit on it for a while and youre enthusiasm will come back. The better weather helps change your mood along with the lighter evenings.

If you need anything i can help you with, dont hesitate to ask. I know how trying it can be and it seems we're both at similar waypoints in our builds.

Chin up chap

Hang in there Lee....you've done a fantastic job to date on this thread . I handed mine in today ......though will be reunited with her in 3 weeks time. Whilst there, I got a chance to see some of the parts up and close...all the ceramic coating had me head spinning! pmsl!
