Not only is this Snazy's way of helping him cope, I thank him and others like him for this kind of thread. The people drawn to it, that post, share their experiences, and as such, can not just help Snazy in his time of need, but also those going through similar situations that maybe don't feel they could post their own thread, or don't want to, but can find help in what is being discussed.

While I'm at it, I'd also like to say a thank you to Sara, and those who contributed to her cancer thread. I can only begin to understand how difficult that would have been for her, and others who shared on it, but it was a great help to me when I found out my Mam had cancer last year. I am not quite so open as some here, but I found comfort and help in that thread, and I thank those who do open themselves up and while they find it a way for them to cope, it turns out to be a great help for so many out there going through similar bad times.

It's threads like these, that show what a good community is. People pulling together, and to find that in a place where most people don't even know each other, I find that quite inspiring. Maybe if more of this attitude was adopted in the world out there, it would be a better place.

I'm really sorry Sara. I hope it is not your worst fear, but all you can really do right now is wait and hope it's not. I'm never sure what to say, but I send my love to you, and keep us informed.

in truth i should have had the xray a year ago but i thought i was being soft and neurotic so i didnt have it done.
i do fear the worst, especially as the xray department told me they would be sending it urgent to the doctor.

i am praying that its something else

thanks for your comments lisa, its a **** time atm but you know me, i bounce

Grow up yeah good one mate i'm not the one going to an internet forum for sympathy during a family crisis.
Nobody (with perhaps the exclusion of chopper. ) has been a bigger critic of Snazy's public outpourings on Scoobynet than myself. Snazy is only too aware of that, but even although you don't agree with how people deal with things you can learn to empathise with someone's plight if you see it causing them grief.

Doesn't cost much to be nice and if you ain't got nothing constructive to say, then don't bother.

Exactly, crawl back under the rock you came from

This is NSR or correct me if I'm wrong?

Lots of people on here have had threads and posts like this one and it is to ask for advice, look at the amount of people on the thread who can relate to it, then look at you

Hell Sara, thats a worry to read that post from you.

Like the rest of us here, I hope they find that it is nothing to worry about anyway. I for one have never forgotten how much your thread did to help me when I was in trouble.

Best wishes

Les

I'm always surprised at the amount of knowledge and information to be found on Scoobynet. There's a huge cross section of people on here, there's always some one with good advice, people that have been through tough times Like Sarah and Les, its great that people like that can share their experiences and provide support and comfort to people who find themselves in a difficult situation.
I lost both my parents within a short time to cancer and I've had it twice (still in remission from the second one) so I know how much comfort and clear vision can be gained from others.

You may one day find yourself in a similar position where all of a sudden its all gone **** up. I hope you find sympathy, empathy, care and understanding. if you do then I'm sure you'll appreciate it.
In the meaantime to all those that have a problem and all those that help others with problems I take my hat off to you all. As Dave Allen use to say, "may your God be with you"

finchyboy you have just made yourself look like a right **** i suggest that if you have nothing nice to say dont bother posting.

Sara i hope that its nothing bad hun you have already been through so much

Snazy I hope you have ignored this fool and carry on updating us on your mum.

We are a community who join together when people need us, look at sonic and donna with scooby, sara with the sad post about her mum, les too who has been really brave, snazy with things about work and his mum and lighterlife too (i was hell when i was on it)

so if you dont like it you can JOG ON!!!!

Sara, best of luck with the results of the xray, will be thinking of you.
And thank you to everyone else who has offered support over the duration of this matter.

Finchyboy, your entitled to your opinion, however I would suggest reading the facts before getting on your high horse.

The post was made while the fast response doctor was with my mother, examining her and asked for privacy. The updates were made between visits to the hospital, looking after my niece and nephew, and visiting my other friend who is currently in hospital also with cancer.
Its amazing how you can find time to vent feelings, and thoughts.

Thankfully I tend to type quite quickly, so taking the occasional 3-4 mins out of a day here and there does not affect commitment to other things. Also hospitals have quite strict visiting hours too.

Its only sad that you have taken this long to form an opinion on the matter, and imo, a warped one at that. Thanks for your input all the same

Sara, got 'em crossed for ya

R32, spot on mate, amazing the places you can find the advice and support you need. Obviously there will always be people who dont appreciate these things, and thats their right.
