I don't have to buy it back - it's coming back to me anyway. There's a lot of money in parts on it and it will not be on any list

how much do you think it's worth selling the car as a whole?

Cheers

£2k

lots of repair labour and costs to get back on road, £2-3k as I would imagine the whole chassis has twisted

Brings back memories of mine back in May https://www.scoobynet.com/essex-scoo...1-ooooops.html

Hope everyone involved is ok

Sounds about right as had offers around the £2k mark so far.

Yours looked nasty.

Everyone is ok thankfully, got off very lightly.

If the insurers involved dont make a total loss payment and retain title to the vehicle, then they can not record it with HPI. They are still able to notify the DVLA using a V23, as are Police officers who may have attended or been involved, but this is a seperate matter.

Hope your brothers OK mate.
I'm surprised its a Cat D. I've bought Cat C's with less damage then that.
Good luck with the sale.

Cheers mate - I've just had to keep saying to myself 'it's only a car' thing is to me it wasn't just ONLY anything if you know what I mean. Some people might say it's sad but I even miss cleaning it!

I think you have 2 problems with trying to sell the car..

1) As the shell is pretty much fooked, then it makes the car a spares package realistically..

2) As the engine has sustained pulley damage, it is likely that valves will be bent, so the engine is not worth as much as it could be...

Good luck fella..

If I had time to break I think there is a lot more than £2k in parts on it (gear box, diff, exhaust system, leather interior, dash, engine components, breaks etc) I have had interest on ebay but people want it delivered to places like Manchester which obviously I am not in a position to do.

I would take £1,900 if someone can collect it asap
