OPINIONS PLEASE - SELL AS WHOLE OR BREAK? (WARNING AN UGLY SITE)
2002 WRX - 32K and FSH Main Dealer Service history. Just had what should have been the 50K service 5 days before it hit a wall and a building
I am waiting for a payment from my insurance but after that the car is coming back to me. Just gauging interest to see if anyone out there would be interested in buying the whole car as it stands or wether I should break for parts
I have lots more pics if required - looking at the car from the rear and other side it still looks in A1 condition.

I am sorry to see your scoob looking like that, Looked good in your my scoob pics. I cannot advise you on what is the best way forward whether to break or sell as is but if you do break then I would be interested in the dashboard time clock.

I hope you are all ok that looks like quite an impact and a nasty looking hole in the screen.
This may be interesting to either yourself or someone that may wish to take on a complete project.

Mate, devastated for you. hope you are OK. If you have the space, would break . You will learn a lot, if you don't know already about the car by doing so. Although selling on can be a pain.
Good luck with which ever route you choose, and hope to see you back in another Scoob soon. P

Damn, sorry for the loss mate. How did it happen out of curiousity?
If you get a good settlement from insurance and can buy it back then I would look to see if it's a write off. If it is then break it for parts as you should make a tidy sum from selling the bits (sure there are enough folks on here who would want bits).
If on the other hand it is possible to repair the car then you could go down that route but personally I would break it after an impact like that.

1. Buy anothe bugeye and keep the crashed one as parts.
2. Don't bother putting the effort in dismantling it and advertising the parts and just sell it as is.
I would choose 2.

Thanks for info but I won't need to buy it back - I am only getting a payment for repairs (long story) so the car is def coming back to me

It was involved in 2 individual accidents, one covered, one not - long story. Repairing I'm sure would involve a new body shell. I am also sure it will not be registered as a right-off and will be coming back to me

I would not of thought that would be worth buying back !! as it will now be on the list and there is about £2k's worth of parts at least to repair and thats with some clever 2nd hand buying and even worse does it still start ?? Considering a 2002 bug wrx would not sell for a fantastic price when not on the list
