If it's any comfort to you I suffer bad swelling and lots of pain like a dull ache that can last for a day or two if I get stung by a wasp. I find alcohol helps, not applied to the sting directly but via the mouth and into the stomach

Just try to get hold of some anti-histamine cream or tablets - eg Piraton. If you were really allergic you would be dead by now. However this type of allergy can get worse each time you have an incident so beware.
I am supposed to carry an adrenalin pen (injection type thingy) but do forget.
If I have a prob you should see the rush they get on when you get to A&E no waiting about for hours I can assure you.
I do have a pretty ace pic of one incident but cos I'm thick don't know how to post

Keep us posted...
The more I read - The more I'm hopeful you'll pull through.
True - You may end up looking like the Bride of Wildenstein for a few weeks but - Hey - Some people like that - Especially in a rubber gimp suit.

mine isn't actually caused by wasps or stings but the result is about the same. AI have to take tablets every day or this type of thing happens and it's a day or two in hospital....
If I did get stung it would probably be curtains
Thanks Scoobylou for the help

Started having probs - normally my tongue swelling and it just kept getting more regular and worse. NHS I'm sorry to say were a waste of time and after having some allergy tests the guy could not say what was wrong. His last words to me were - if you find out whats causing it come back and we'll test you for it.
Luckily I had private medical cover through work and went that route. Met a guy spent 30 mins with him and he knew exactly what was wrong. It's called angeo adema ( excuse the spelling ) fairly common but only normally effects people for a small number of weeks. However for me it's been about 5 years
Still at least I know

Sad News :(
ScoobyLou has taken a Tern for the worst
http://wirelessdigest.typepad.com/ph...zed/blobby.jpg
It's touch and go...
I have been in touch with Jeremy Beadle as he has experience of variable hand size.
It was quite disconcerting to me that he chose this moment to say that he had a tiny pen1s
but on the other hand it was Massive
