on the way back from dogs walk on Monday came across a wasps nest in the ground disturbed by my dog, and they were pretty angry
Had my 2 boys (ages 2 and 4) and the dog with me and despite picking up my boys and running got stung 9 times (the boys got stung twice each - that was the worst bit )
My boys stings have almost gone today but mine have swelled up quite badly (doc reckons its something to do with my hayfever allergy) also on anti-hist pills until they subside
So - avoid those wasps nests people - they hurt like b*ggery!

Yeah I bought one of those but I must have picked a dodgy one cause the soldering was **** inside & it wasn't even powerful enough to kill a fly.
Luckily I worked at an electroincs company at the time so we upgraded it to kick out almost 9kV Been told not to touch people with it anymore hahahahaha
Completely destroys any insect it touches now

Got stung twice when I kicked a nest over the other day whilst striming in the new garden.
Didn't hurt at all - but where I got stung - ankle & edge of hand - really swelled up
They then itched like mad for the next 2 days until they went down...
The ankle was bad enough to make wearing my shoes uncomfortable Going in with the "powder" one evening soon

LOL dunno. Just remember seeing the story recreated on one those 999 emergency type programmes. But, you know how pets are. You open the attic and they always want to get up there for a good nose around.

I suffered at the "hands" of a transform-a-fly. Was in the boozer, during a lazy summer afternoon, with all the usual suspects, and there was a big fat blue bottle, annoying us, by buzzing round our faces and pints.
Being the ninja-master that I am (ahem), I waited for the optimum moment, and caught the blue bottle mid-flight... unfortunately, it'd transformed by that time, from mild-mannered blue bottle, to a raging, f**k off wasp, and stung me about 10 times on one finger.
Git.
****** flew off too, when I screeched in agony and released my grip.
