Wide arch, 400+bhp Newage rebuild...For the road :)

Not sure it would be that easy with a hawkeye, but it is really only a case of splitting the headlights, and cutting it about a bit, as per the pics further up the thread.

Cheers Clive.

All thanks to your kit m8.
Cheers m8, yours was a lot cleaner than mine though, surprised to have won TBH.

just read this thread from start 2 finish.
Have to admit i was dissapointed when i seen the car on your first rim choice. i was on the other hand dumbfounded by your attention to detail. but then i seen the car with your new rim choice and the difference was unreal..........hats of to you for the best blob-eye i have ever had the pleasure of reading about.........................

wow just read this what i would give to build my own scooby from scrach.. that new age is one of the best looking impreza's ive seen. i would love to build a fresh 2door wide body impreza (classic) 500/500 (dont think it will happen tho)
everything is beautiful. lovley car if you do sell...... im sure there will be a long cue tho.
got one question why was a mafless setup not an option and a reverse inlet manifold??
cheers

Resprays are all dependent on condition of car, and standard required.
As I am not an authorized business, I can't say too much on here.
Thanks for your comments though

Thank you, got to admit I prefer my new wheels.

The car is running absolutely spot on Peter.
Uses no water or oil, and is just so smooth and responsive, you would swear it was running mafless.

Car is probably going to be for sale in the very near future, though in what specification I am not yet sure.
I didn't go mafless for the simple reason that I couldn't warrant the extra cost of an aftermarket ECU, for my power levels I required, and I, along with Andrew Carr (whom I use for mapping) wanted to see how far we could go with the standard ecu.
I didn't go reverse inlet so that I could get as straight and as large a tube possible for the maf to be housed in, hence why the pipe goes around the engine.
I agree it could benefit from more boost, but reliability (if there is such a thing) is my main concern.
Anybody want to buy this car????
I am in a bit of a dilema, and not sure what to do. I am either going to go mental on the car for next year as funds allow, or I have another project that I wish to get going.
So I thought I would get some interest going on it.
Current brief spec is:
2.5 WRX (2007) short motor
UK WRX heads
STD headers
TD20G turbo
3" decat and 3" system
FMIC and blow through maf set up as per the pics.
STD WRX inlet manifold
550cc injectors
Reverse fuel feed system with braided lines
Samco inlet hose
Large K&N air filter
2007 WRX 5 speed gearbox
BC coilovers
Brembo's all round c/w braided hoses
STD STi anti roll bars
Car still looks as it always has done, with the Work emotion wheels.
The spec required can be changed to suit your pocket, for example I could fit std WRX engine set up and TMIC, along with STD 4 pots etc..
The trim can also be altered to suit. It currently has a custom black Recaro set up, with matching spec C door cards.
I will get some current pics up as and when I can.
Depending on spec, I am looking at between £10k and £14k.
Neil.

Great thread, enjoyed reading it.
The very final pics with new wheels etc was better than the first finished version IMO. I still think it was crying out for a spoiler on the back.
You sir are very talented and the attention to detail was superb.

I have my eyes on a particular spoiler....

I also have my eyes on some 'other' wheels.

2010 will bring some changes, one way or another....
Right, thought I would drag this thread up to date.
Having de-tuned my car, and driven it for all of a month, I took it off the road, cos it was pants...
It is now parked in the back of my garage with about an inch of dust settled on it, and looking very sorry for itself.
The wheels have gone to a happier place (JGM), and new ones are on order.
Front Brembos have now been replaced.
I am now in the process of getting some parts together for this years re-fresh.
Oh and I've also purchased my project car for 2011...
