OK guys, XBox installed and Net connected, albeit via a 20ft Ethernet cable running through the house until the WiFi adaptor arrives.

Forza 2 installled and ready for some fun.

I have a gamer ID as T7SSY.....now what do i do, how do you all arrange online gaming etc and how do you know when each other is online.

My controller came with a headset, does that mean we can chat also.

All very new to this gaming experience, i know you will teach me well !!

 

Headset means plenty of on line banter

then you can add people to be your friends, when they are next on xbox live they can then accept your invite.

list of names on here are:

Then when these are in your friends list each time you connect to xbox live they will know your on and vice versa, it pops up on the bottom of your tv screen.

 

Cheers for that mate, i've added the above to my "Firends" list.

I will just need to wait unitil someone is online to see how it all works.

Once you switch on it should log you online. It will tell everyone who has you as a friend that you have come online. Dazza will set up a game and then invite you to join - simple.

You do know that we will be able to do things to you online that we wouldn't be able to get aloud with in real life don't you.
