Caps or hats are worn to keep warm (in winter) and avoid red head syndrome (in summer)

The equally cropped goatee comes and goes depending on mood/whether I can be bothered shaving at weekends/holidays.

BUT...hate to dissapoint, but I wear a (nice) suit to work every day (professional office of Global organisation) and don't have a shell suit to my name. I wear trainiers only for training.

Nor am I descendant of chavedom made good and I don't I swagger up the street with my dogs trying to look "ard"

I live pretty much in the sticks, so "parading" is hardly the term. As for what I look like, lol at this time of year its usually "gore-tex" or "event" fabric waterproofs and Scarpa walking boots, for the record

Well that's kind of you to say so I'm sure, however I'm not 'hijacking' the thread I am merely expanding on a point that was made earlier, namely that the types of dog we are discussing tend to be owned by individuals who like to make themselves look like hard-men. All I am doing with my straw poll is testing this statement against the dog owning demographic.

Now I don't want to scare off any more owners from coming forward so I'll just say thank you to the two individuals who have so far proved their mettle by confessing that they do indeed fit the profile.

 

I think you could come to this conclusion with any dog owner/dog not just staffies.

There must be hundreds of people with shaved heads/tattoos etc who own other types of dogs, it's just that you, me or whoever walk past them and think nothing of it.

I have long blonde hair, but its Donna who shaves the head, sports tattoos, and has the occasional 'goatee' oh, and she does this just for you Mr Engers, so she can sit comfortably in your straw poll

we currently own a dog that looks like a devil dog, pit bull etc etc, except the two next to each other dont actually look that similar really, just some people appear to be slightly un-educated where dogs are concerned

I have to admit, I even had to go looking and comparing pictures of my dog to a pit bull, but the vet had already comfirmed that he is indeed a 'Staffie'

AND as for my tat is off my dog and im proud off both.

I guess my point is that you dont see the other side of the breed because this dog was a BULL breed the newspapers slam into them when a staff cross pit cross devil attacks someone.But what about the ones that will listen to you,the ones that curl up on your feet,infact i read in the paper about one that pulled its disabled owner out from their burning house.

Local news has just reported that money and other items have been taken from the house, and will be subject to forensic examination, police wont disclose how much money has been taken

the Grandmother has been released from hospital now, and is still too traumatised to be interviewed

They have also stated that it will be a court summons not an arrest if there will be any kind of formal prosecution under the dangerous dogs act, and investigations will take many weeks and not days
