the trouble with these animals is the owners!!!
i've never been in with a nasty pitbull, (to people), !!
but other dogs can be bred to be the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as a rule staffs and pitbulls/fighting dogs, seem very good with people, the only problem is anything animal or dog,
what annoys me is when people/owners think the dog can be used to amuse the kid/kids by them pulling/ jumping /poking it, and if it gets annoyed it is shouted/ smacked
kids should be taut to be respectful, this would solve sooooooooooooooo many problems

Im not defending the pitbull by a long shot, but now ive done some research I know they aren't the same as a Staffie

They do have a completly different look about them, now I have marginally educated myself about the two types of dog

I have said before when our 'Lost Dog' appeared on the front my neighbour scarpered, and I took a step back and kept a close eye on the dog until I could work out what his intentions may have been, as my 1st thoughts were 'oh I had better be very wary and on my guard, and immediately looked for an owner' and a way back into the house

since then he has growled, snarled and nipped me but all the time wagging his tail, he is a very strong dog, and I struggled to get him off scooby when he first arrived, but a spray of water was the easiest option in the end

You said one of the dogs is a Staff, and at least one of them is a Pitbull so your incorrect or deliberatly trying to catch people out

from what I have seen, there is a distinct difference, afaik there is also a difference in size, but having never seen the two types of dog side by side I cant really say

 

In my limited contact with these so called killers I have found them to be friendly, loyal and playful. Just my experience and opinion.

OK, the way I see the two dogs is like this

Staffy smaller, thinner legs, more rounded head, pointier nose.

Pitbull, bigger, bulkier, squarer in build, thicker head, square-ish nose and bigger jowles. Not forgetting the front leg shapr, thicker legs and far bigget paws.
