I think you make Scooby drivers look good, anyone that turns down a race because its unsafe is good in my book. Cant count how many idiots I've seen trying to race me, some of the over taking is just unbelievable... sad isn't it
when a scooby pasted me in my 306 1.9t diesel I would smile and think wow, wish I had that car ! Never once did I try to kill myself to race one !!
Again... wish more Scooby owners where like you

You do have to just let em get on with it.
The other day I was driving down the local dual carriageway and just eased past a Smart car of all things. It wasn't even an overtake really; I had to be in the right lane as I was turning right at the approaching roundabout and he was -apparently- going straight ahead. I just happened to be traveling about 3mph more than him. Guess what happened next. Yep our friend put his foot on it so he could stay in front of me. I thought he might want to turn right at the roundabout too, so slowed down to allow him to get in my lane, but no, he slowed down too, looked over and started reving his food mixer of an engine I just laughed and turned right at the roundabout as intended.
I could, of course, have put my foot down and shown him up, but that would have involved breaking the speed limit for that road by some margin and being a smart car, he might have stuffed it at the roundabout; we've all seen how comically these things corner on Top gear! Also, it's not exactly even a contest is it?
Best to have your fun on your own.................... Yes, I'm still referring to driving here!!!!!

Must fess that I WOULD have raced had it been on a country road !!
(just didn't want to endanger other roadusers in the process as the roads were pretty busy).
Might also have been influenced by the fact that I was 2 miles from home on my daily route home from work ~didn't fancy looking like a complete tit in front of the bloody neighbours !!!
Smart car = foodmixer ~ made ne laugh out loud NewScoob !

If it had been a slip road to a dual carriageway set at NSL with good visibility and light traffic I might have put my foot down just to show him what a proper fast car sounds like but as for a race, what would I be proving by doing that? A 320bhp Classic kicks a Food blenders ***. You don't say!!

I make do with 273bhp in a lardy-arsed bug, but i reckon I would still be ok against a Kenwood Chef !!
OK, I'm about to make myself sound immensely "dolly dimple" ~
How do you quote a previous thread as you just did NewScoob ?
Andy

You can do it manually by inserting [ quote=their username ] before the text and [ /quote ] at the end too! Don't put spaces between the [ and text as I have though, this is just to stop it from turning my instructions into a quote box if you see what I mean!

Hi Speedyscoob,
Seems a bit of a storm in a teacup now tbh. Saw the young lad recently and he seemed a decent enough sort.
Anyway, I like Hondas, being a former Prelude 2.2 Vtec owner !! ~Great to drive. Still, when the 4 wheel steer, A/c, and ABS failed as it approached MOT time, I looked at my rusty quarter panels and thought "Hmmm, I've had this 8 yrs, time to move on !"
