I joined this forum last year some time i think, and at the start i got some good information and some useful help. But the more I read the more i understand why people tell me they dont use it anymore. People like pslewis etc are just a waste of time, what useful information do you ever post? what sensible posts ever come out of you? and where you really bullied that much as a child that you have to come on here and be such an amazing keyboard bandit? seriously, get a life!

as for the water spray, i used mine at SSO in york at the weekend, and i do think it helped. I also used a CO2 fire extinguisher to blast my TMIC with before I ran a couple of times, and pulled my times down. Now whether that was me gettting better at my launches, or if it made a difference, who knows!

Maybe ............. BUT, carrying around 15 Gallons of water wipes 0.75 Seconds off your 0-62 MPH times ........ it was proven by me on a 'Lewis ShootOut' in my back garden last week ......... I even drew a graph to show everyone up the pub!!

Probably a fair point - additional weight of water will affect performance

Does this face look bitter and sad to you??

Nah, this SN place is the best tonic I could have hoped for in my latter years - little did I know, 30 years ago, as I steered my Capri on Ice using only Cross-Ply Tyres and a cable operated drum brake .... that the day would come when owners of a great car like the Impreza were scared ****less to drive unless it came equiped with such things as:-

CockLinks
Water Sprays
Change Gear NOW! lights
Boost Gauges
ECU Re-Maps
Det Cans attached to a geek
MAF Sensors replaced monthly
£50 a Gallon Oil

On the contrary, sir, I find your kind EXTREMELY amusing and my life surely must have been extended by years!!

Iced water has been used by several in hill climbs. There is pleanty of time to switch the cold water on, though sometimes harder to remember to switch it off.

The real trick is to make the ice cubes from flavoured water.
My car seems to prefer it.......enter Pete

The use of CO2 spray is surprisingly effective to quench the IC, and costs a fortune.
Trying different things to seek an improvement to some part of the car is good, Subaru and 1000's more do it as a living, Continuous Improvement, so why not on Snet?

Turning to the other side of this thread, Pete's side, there is no harm in his opinion howsoever expressed, as he correctly says, you can steer around the fun side and only focus on the subject matter.

Graham

Missed a bit:
Had thought about the methanol, but it is something else to remember to take/have, and it is combustable in the right measure.

Mr Subaru knows the market for the 'Specials' .... the buyers are 'Special'

And, as such, need useless tat to make them feel whole ....... does Mr Subaru put that kind of crap on the Normal Impreza's?? NO!! WHY? Because the REAL men buy the normal cars and do NOT want to look like a Chavvie Geeky ******
