Alfa Arna- a datsun cherry with italian electrics- a well known, widely accepted disaster of a car.
Morris Ital- it's a marina with italian design flair- actually it doesn't have ANY design flair.
Bugeye Impreza- brought in to replace the succesful 'classic' Impreza the bugeye failed by dint of looking like an old toyota corrola (but not as handsome) and being slower than the model it replaced. EVO had these figured at nearly 19 seconds to 100. Subaru killed it off prematurely to save face and bring back some sales.
Some things are just ****.

Applies to basically all the cars mentioned: Ok, not the most exciting car around, but many people still own then, some have them at well over 100K miles and still goes like new, for these people its a great car. Maybe they can't afford anything else...
As for the bugeye Impreza... they are 10's of thousands of people who absolutely love theirs.... so again, its your opionion that they are bad cars.

I also disagree that it's all opinion, as I outlined some things are just sh1te, the bugeye and it's awful looks being one of them. It was a failure killed off before it's intended time.

I bought a bug eye because it was the right price, the STi lights look fine to me.
I modded it nicely and loved every second of it.
No subaru is going to win best looking car award??

castle combe action day hey, hmmmmmm, just to put my 1.26 in perspective someone with track experience went in a evo 340 and best he could do was 1.24's ,with my car as it stands im sure it will equal that time ,especially now im learning to drive a bit.
350 bhp means nothing to me ,its not what matters on track.

Nobody says 'nice 530D tourer to me', I haven't got one. In fact I don't even own a car, I lease one.

Please enlighten us with the type of 'lease car' you own - it surely must be in a different league to the scoob?

A rover wouldn't do anything for me, but its what you want so you enjoy it . Did the pleasure of the scoob not justify the cost for you?

I loved the scoob, had it 3 years ....... there comes a time when you out grow stuff. My time had come. I can honestly say I LOVE driving the Rover. Every morning when I get in and turn the key I think, that another £15 saved. Cruising along at 70mph, not taking it above 3000rpm, its just great.......For once i'm not joking either.
I still have my track car and that gives me the buzz I need ......
How long will the Rover last before I get bored? No idea, I already have a hankering for a naughty Caterham or Exige

MGZS
Hi first post here came across this post by googling
Original Scooby owner from day one
Hi i am a real oldie compared to most of yous being 48.
Anyways i have owned many fast good cars and still do including scoobs and evos and whatever else.
My main point is please dont knock and underestimate the MGZS 180
This car is a extremely quick and a great handling car
I have had the privelege to drive a lot of souped up versions of the zs 180
and imho in all the suburus i have had in last 15 years none of them can match the handling of the zs.
Also this car is very fast and nippy on twisties or whatever you young ones call them.
Point is never underestimate a MG ZS 180 at your peril.
Going back to earlier posts on this thread when a mg pulls alongside of you and smiles its mainly becos he respects your car, Being a owner of both marques i know this well.
Point is dont knock a classic car and imho one of the best marques ever.
Will we ever see any 30-40-50-60 year old scoobies around i think not.
They just havent the build quality.
Anyways thats my rant finished
Buy British
