ROVER MG ZS type things......mini moan.....
.............please stop pulling up next to me nodding, grinning and thinking just because your car is blue, it has 4 doors and a minature spolier that you have the same car as me.
You don't.........you have an exhaust-anti-flame-plate because they wanted to make you car look "sporty" and you probably wanted it as an extra anyway.
You'll end up driving faster that your car can handle or more importantly, you can handle, and will end up causing a serious accident......
Before you BSN people go crazy and think i'm saying my car is better than anyone else's.....i'm not.............i'm just saying it's better then these

Its not hard to handle well when the speeds are acceleration aren't enough to coax a pensioner out of boredom
The diesel one isn't actually too bad, they are quite a nice motor for what they are...........a Rover

hmmmmmmmm, well a couple of us have done very low 14's just nudging 100 mph up the 1/4 with just exhaust and induction, not record breaking but a lot faster than you giveing em credit for,you have a look on the letstorque bhp website and see how many front drivers can do that ,theres about 3 on the whole list, not even the supposed super hatches like fst and vxr can match that, theres a few circuits that use these for their experience cars too,i wont go on about the scoobies i overtook at castle combe IN THE WET last year.
I used to have a classic scooby ,zs is better handler ,has better brakes, masses of grip ,feels alive in your hands compared to the old numb feeling understeering scooby its just not as good for straight line grunt, standard they arent the fastest cars in a straight line .
There are some modified zs starting to appear now in nasp form and supercharged that are genuinely very quick.

Indeed they're not bad for what they are and congrats in the 2wd list.....but i'm saying it's a very laughable when I get them pull up to me and they think there is a kind of kinship between us. As if they're saying, i've got one too.
You haven't......
I had a black one cut me up a couple of days back with black windows and a bigger (yet still smaller) rear wing.
When I pulled up to the lights next to him (he was on a right hand filter) he was grinning like he'd just taken a monkey off me down santapod and I can guarantee he was telling his wife, "see, they're not all that......."
I suppose I can be a little more than most as mine isn't completely standard but even still.........a standard scoob and a standard rover?
Please......

Nowt wrong with the ZS 180 - great handling car, if a little hard on suspension. Sounds fantastic too, and in the right hands, can embarrass a lot more expensive metal through the twisties.
I bet they can, and I bet I could also like a lot (and I mean a lot) of other cars can........that game has been played to death
I'm just saying stop with the "I have four doors, a mini rear wing and it's blue so we're in the same boat" stuff.

Your average scoob owner with a few mods will slay majority of much more expensive metal in the twisties though

most people meaning commoners? Us scoob owners are very exclusive
Tripple has a point too

I certainly dont think theres any kinship between brands and if a ZS owner is grinning then maybe you have got it confused with smugness
Smugness in the fact that the ZS is much cheaper to run,is a far better point to point car with is superior chassis, not likely to be stolen and the Mrs hit over the head with an iron bar by some scally at Tesco's or the most likely scenario that the ZS owner is about to nail you
You see, back in 94/5 the scoob was something special but in the noughties even tarted up Rover 45's can dish it out and to be quite honest anything under a STi is poverty spec Scoob
a bit like those those old MK 2 XR2's that had the steel wheels -it says i couldn't quite afford the real deal
btw,i hope you guys aint going to have the cheek to stick st georges flags on your cars during the world cup-some of us can wear it with pride!

Let me guess you wear rally jackets, gold wheels a baseball cap and have stickers on your car as well.
I'm not one to stick up for rover products of any kind but the ZS is meant to have far better handling than people give it credit for. Maybe better than a WRX which doesn't really have good handling* at all. They also aren't nearly as ugly as the 'failure' bugeye model.
*high levels of grip don't necessarily equate to good handling
