That might change when your little one arrives...

Out of interest: We pay about £95 an entry 'down here' for a National A meeting, what are your costs for the same?

Nat A about the same, Nat B or Clubby £60-65 mostly.

Rather like Loton park, lots of hard rocks to get friendly with if you slip.

Mine does that at the rear too...

cmp: ''Rock hard''

And that won't hold the wheels down either.
I tries weakening the rear bar to get the inside Rear wheel down a bit, but no good elsewhere.
Bet you have an LSD out back?

looks to me like the front outside corner is where the problem lies. Perhaps time to go back to the start with the suspension and attack from a different perspective?

Agreed Paul, thats one of the bends with the flattest camber on the hill. I'd love to see a video from behind of the car the whole way up.

John

Are your springs a linear rate? Or progressive? You may find that progressive springs will allow that rear wheel to stay on the deck.

Speak to John at LEDA and show him that photo (a cracker, by the way ). They supply many a rally car with competition systems and I've just had something similar fitted and I'm very impressed so far

Terry, linear, gonig to try fecking about with the roll bars first.

Busy weekend this weekend, went Dastek in Fife to do a power run as a friend was going to get his cossie mapped. Interesting day, thought at first the car was detting like all hell only to discover the knock sensor was faulty. That was a phew moment. Very pleased with the results of Andy's mapping
Knockhill on saturday for a round of the British Sprint championship, more drive shaft troubles and on/off rain made the day more than a bit interesting, managed finally to win, with only three wheel drive for the last 2/3rds of a lap, interesting sensation... steering up a straight

wins with a broken drive shaft, three wheel drive . Your car must have some power advantage over the other competitors.

Actually there was a more powerfull Cossie and a Sunbeam with a reputed 400 + BHP in attendance. Less than a second separated us.

The other cars in the class, yes, big advantage at Knockhill, far less at other venues.

The way the championship is scored, I wasn't so worried about a class win, but smashing the record.

What system did you use to make adjustments for the alternator. I've noticed the one piece belt with the idle wheel mounted on that nifty plate fixed between the p/s pump and alternator. Any closer pics of that available?

nice layout.

Alternator is just flipped over on the normal pivot, the bracket I made holds an idler which is pivoted on the same axis and uses the normal slide on the powersteering bracket.

Default Fintry Hillclimb

Saturday went excellently, class win, new hill record and third fastest road car (Two Cateringvans in front, one Busa, one BDG).

Sunday started wet but dried during the morning, was colder than Sat and track wasn't as grippy (but thats the case for everyone). Took first again, with a bit more margin than Saturday. New diff and shafts behaving impecably.
According to my Missus the comentator reporting with glee more three wheel antics at the hairpin, had loads of lock still on at that point so couldn't get on the gas anyway.
One more win should all but tie up the class in the Hillclimb Championship, 8 count from 12 rounds, thats 5 wins so a sixth should more or less sew it up. Sprint championship is in the early days, only 2 rounds so far (Knockhill and Kames), another 2 this weekend coming.

Holy crap John!

Just having a look on here as bored as chuff on holiday and recognised your name. Car looks awesome and a hell of a lot of work - Although i realised you were not shy of that with the fester!. I take it this is the RA i once knew that our other karting team mate owned? Looking at all the pics i reckon you still couldnt match my pace as you have a little less hair and some extra ballast lol

Hope your season goes you way as you deserve all the best. On another note that Dell monitor still works Tirelessly everyday and is still V appreciated

Good luck

Martin

I've lived about 15mins away from the area around Forrestburn Hillclimb track for the past 20yrs. Never knew there was a track there until I spotted it when out tharshing the car along the backroads a couple of years back. Always wondered what it was used for

Forrestburn is well hidden Stephan, Monklands CC don't really go out of their way to publisize it.

Damage from Kames this weekend...
