LOL, I wish, Gobstopper is quoted as having 850bhp So I'm shy of around 350bhp I believe If you're at Kames, come say hello.

I thought it was an excellent result considering you are a privateer John, especially vs the likes of RC.

Time to get this kicked off again.

Not to much has physically happened with the car, however we've been working away in the background, buying better bits, planning next year.

I'll finally get the brakes the way they were intended to be this year by ditching the servo and Subaru master cylinder in favour of a Comp Brake bias box and AP cylinders cortesy of AS performance, hydraulic handbrake will go in too, as well as new front disks to replace the existing Brembos.

Hi John,

How did that pedal box fit, any improvements required? I make them for CompBrake (as you know), always open to suggestions.....the pedal looks like its slightly too high/short compared with the clutch? What do you think?

Cheers,

Martin

Hi Martin, in the middle of this at the moment

No the brake isn't to high relatively, it's lying against the bulkhead in the pic as it's connected to nothing. I'll be happy to give feedback, but initial impressions are very good, I'm liking it.

The best thing about this is it leaves loads of handy space elsewhere by deleting the servo !!

Been doing a lot of thinking recently and decided the way forward for the car is to replace the MAF based Apexi with something a little more capable. Don't get me wrong the Apexi has been great. Really like the convenience of the Commander as you can diagnose issues and tweek the thing really easily without running around plugging laptops in. Last year I had Simtek firmly in my mind, and still like it, this one ticks all the boxes though. Nice to be spoiled by choice

This is what we have chosen.

Very impresive wee box. Does everything I could need and backed by some very clever Peeps.

I doesn't take a Rocket scientist to figure out who'll be doing the tweeking for me

Specs here:

You ever tried getting the main hoop into the right position for welding to the floor/sills Mark?

Oh great something else I'll need to buy before fitting the cage.

Tim I noticed on 22b you had pictures of the uj joint from a classic to new age STi steering rack you'd welded is this a straight forward job?

It should be, and doesn't seem to have been for me
