Yeah, there are pharmacy ones like that Driclor mentined above. Not tried them but I might do, me pits are bit sweaty at times. They're in a different bit of the shop in Boots...

I normally use Right Guard for women, cos I'm a feckin bufty, obviously. It's also the only unperfumed one I can find. The scented ones smell v cheap and nasty to me.

Yes there is ! I use Mitchum unperfumed anti-perspirant it's very good & to quote a review .....

"Mitchum is the best anti-persperant I've ever tried. I'd always been self-concious about those oh so attractive sweat patches and always wore tiny t-shirts in the winter and vest tops in the summer so that they didn't show. Then I tried Mitchum. The claims were big - you can supposedly skip a day. Although I haven't actually tried skipping a day - it is fantastic. There are no more sweat patches and I can wear whatever clothes I like!"

& I' agree

I had this problem a little over a year ago. Basically in crowded situations, i.e. when out on a night, I'd sweat like never before.

Went to the doctor, and they did a blood test to check it wasn't a thyroid problem, and it turned out it wasn't. I tried around 5 different types of spray/deodorant/talc, but found that Odaban is the best to stop the sweating, regardless of the name.

A spray or two before bed, and you're away, without the stinging associated with many of the other sprays.

The funny thing is, that when you're in such situations, and take a look around, you'll notice that you're not the only one with a problem - yet you can feel so trapped and alone initially.

Prescription roll ons have aluminium in them to block the sweat pores. And they sting like buggery.

Could have your pits operated on and the glands removed ??

That's an option, but I've heard numerous horror stories about compensation sweating.

I think when, and only when, you've explored all other avenues, you should begin to consider such.

If working in hot conditions/climates wear a white 100% cotton shirt. NOT blue or colored.

I had it done about 3 years ago. Excessive sweating was a real problem so basically they cut a slit under your pits and slide the glands out. They leave about 5% there so you still sweat a bit, otherwise the chaffing would be right nasty.

Mitchum roll on from Sainsburys
Put on lots, and then dry it with the hair dryer.

PS. If you dry it it is much better than the Mitchum spray on (which is also very good)

I've also had this done. Under arm sweating was a real problem. Really glad I had the op. Have a bit of compensatory sweating where my back gets clamy, but I use Driclor, which helps in the summer.

Yeah I had an ETS done too, sound like you have Hyperhydrosis Paul so just ignore all the lose weight comments - unhelpful. Basically you have 3 choices.

1. Ignore it and just get on with life and be sweaty like a lot of people. Try to wear clothes that hide it, or limit it, loose and white?

2. Use some of the anti persperants mentioned on here that are better than your normal ones.

3. Have an ETS - I had one done, suffer now from a sweaty back instead of arm pits so you just move the problem! Also when I smell or eat certain foods, one side of my face gets clamy - reallllllly wierd! But these are well known side effect, unfortunately I got both.

Basically from what you said about going into a bar you have a form of fight or flight syndrome that saids you off. Don't know how old you are but I think it gets better with age. To be honest mate unless it really bothers you try to avoid it and try to remember no one gives a **** if you sweat, we all do, some more than others and at the end of the day who cares. I can't say going back I would do again what I had done.

PM me if you have more questions.

Actually mate this could be the source of his problem. Would rather not get rid of sweating the natural way and get healthier at the same time than shell out for some products that only cloaks the problem?

I'm not questioning your reason for posting the advice, I'm questioning the way in which you presented such.

I have had this problem for the last couple of months.

Just my right armpit sweats 'abnormally'. I am not a sweaty bloke but why would one pit sweat and soak your Tee and the other dry as a bone ?

I have tried swapping deodorants to no avail.

AudiLover, read up on Hyperhidrosis, it's not about weight, it's a medical condition. Sure some fat people sweat more, but there are a lot of people with this condition that are not fat and hence it has nothing to do with weight. i.e it's unnatural sweating caused by overactive sweat glands, not because you are a fat unhealthy *******

It could be stress, diet etc. I found since starting smoking again I sweat far more than I used to giving me a good incentive to stop again !

Dricalor I think its spelt, it a roll on you put on over night and wash off in the morning. What the product does is block or burn the glands aways to stop the sweat coming through.

Try Boots or any good chemist.
