Ste, Ric and Pete.

Unless you are contortionists, you'll probably have to go out one at a time in the rx8 (assuming I can get my brother to actually be there at all). The back seats are useless - even Dee was complaining about the leg room and she's not the tallest of people.

Will have to convince our kid to do 3 runs and that won't be easy when he's getting single figure mpg!

i had a full de-cat £50ish for up-pipe, bout £100 for down pipe. £80 for de-res centre, i then had a green panel filter £25 roughly, cold air induction £10 roughly(prices without fitting), then a re-map for £550. one of the smac lads, especially howard (51st state) could fit it all and then you get it mapped, i got 290hp an 311 torque. dont forget though you will need to upgrade your brakes and your suspension

My brother did a few test drives in the 192 and said it wasn't much cop. The 231's have a third fuel port which kicks in at high revs effectively increasing fuel by 50% but because you have to work them hard to keep them on the boil it stays open for much of the time, hence the poor mpg.

192's will get 340 motorway miles on a tank though.

Oh, and when you switch off an rx8 (according to the man from Mazda) you have to raise the revs to 3,000rpm, turn the key and then floor the throttle. Apparently this opens the fuel ports and drains them. They are notorious for flooding on really short trips i.e. reversing the car out of the drive to wash it etc and that's the only time you need to do it.

Would your mate be interested??
