SMACS Muppet and Numpty corner
that wind n rain is sh1te
still rode home over the barton bridge on my scooter
i had to slow down though, it nearly blew me into a car a couple of times
what p1sses me off is the car drivers that try and close the gap, and some jump on the horn
trying to make me wait in the traffic jam
t0ssers
if there not happy, theres an old saying ?
if you can't beat em, join em
most cars now know about the bikes and move right over in the fast lane
this leaves a clear stretch of tarmac for bikes
its fookin great passing all the cars sat there or crawling along
might have to get a better scooter, i've got a honda in atm, don't know wether to fix it and keep it

because your so vunerable on a bike you have to learn to read the road ahead, i think there would be a lot less accidents if ALL 16yr olds were made to have scooters for a year to get a car license
it p1sses me off the amount of car drivers that drive with there eyes on the end of there bonnet
especially as i drive an HGV, the stop/start driving, no indication, last minute manoevres , they wouldn't expect to get away with this kind of driving if they had ridden 2 wheels for a year
i always thought the HGV test would be far better for car drivers to learn and do
the main reason is reading the road ahead, because HGV's don't accelerate quickly they want you to read the road and slow down slightly to pass obsticles, ie; parked car, you watch most car drivers, they'll fly upto it and jump on the brakes
,
in a hgv you have to watch oncoming traffic, you indicate to overtake , picking your time perfectly to coincide with oncoming traffic,
so you don't stop and nor does the traffic

at a guess i would think the IAM test teaches the same kind of driving

theres quite a few now chief
i used north manchester hgv training , i think , it was a while ago
when i did it , you could go straight in for the class 1, then you are licensed to drive anything,
now you have to do class 2 first then move up
i did it in a week, 4 days driving for 8/9 hours, fifth day test

i can drive them, i should have got them years ago when they were cheap
pay isn't bad
£10-15 an hour minimum , hours are usually 7.30am to 4.30pm, mon -thusday
friday finish is usually about 2pm, and saturday 12noon, but you get paid for full days
and you get 2 tea breaks and dinner
and travelling expenses to each site
