Sorry to re-hash an old conversation topic but I work on the industrial estate behind the Stratstone Porsche dealership in Handforth. I have to suffer mechanics nailing stuff like this past my office all day, every day. It's just not fair - i want a go!!! The lucky Bar Stewards.

What makes it worse is that they also have an Aston Martin service centre up the hill from us. It's so frustrating listening to DB9's, V8 Vantage's, Vanquish's and the occasional old shape Vantage rumble past, usually with the **** end out as they come round the corner!!

I'm not jealous...... honest!!!

i knows what you means Paul i have been there for some service parts for my ole 944 turbo and felt like i was out of my depth till the mechanics saw my old porker and came over to comment on how they had`nt seen one for ages and had a little chat with em! if only all mechanics were as enthusiastic as these lads and it`s not just a job attitude. which unit you in then?

Hmmm. I wouldn't trust them with my car!! I know of one lad who has written off 4 in as many months. He also got his mate in a Merc to film him overtake in a customer's car at 140mph too!! No idea how he is still working there!

Another mechanic gave it plenty of beans the other day and managed to lose it right outside our office. And on Friday afternoons when they shut early, there is always one car doing donuts in the car park!!

And in answer to this question:

 

There's no doubting it is, Ste. I just happen to work in an office where Aston's and Porsche's blat past on full chat all the time and it makes me want one.... of each.
