drain off excess fluid etc, and then add 1 large onion chopped randomly so there are some big pieces and some not so big pieces.

I will also chop up randomly some chestnut mushrooms.
I use chestnut mushrooms as to me they give a more earthy taste (maybe I should wash them)
I will add these to the pan as well

I will gently cook these ingredients for a few mins then I will add the chopped tomatoes with garlic. What I tend to do though is add some of the chopped tomato juice to some puree to get a slightly thicker texture, then I add this to the other ingredients and mix well.

Before the food is ready I will crush a clove or 2 of garlic just for extra ooomph

and then serve with some kind of pasta, either long spaghetti or pasta shells. Sometimes though we only have pasta twists in and although nice it doesnt seem right with bol sauce

of course whilst at morrisons, I may as well pick up some lager for watching the mighty pool tomorrow evening,
Unless I go to lidl in atherton who apparently do 8 cans of carlsberg (dark green can and not olive coloured can
) for £3.99
Good thing is it is the 500ml cans
