In summer we used to go garden hopping, untill i jumped into a bush full of thornes and the guy who owned the house came running out and had to help me free, i was torn to buggery

Never fancied that game much after that

 

even moreso for the "older" generation as you didnt have spectrums and ataris to pass the day with

And 'knock a bell run' but i got caught at that too cos i fell off my bike and split my knee open in the excitment

My favorite game by far tho was 'Kingy'

Throwing a tennis ball at each other and having to dodge it
Everyone would stand in a circle and do the pinball thing with your feet, and the ball was dropped in to dertermin who was it.
Then the tennis ball was thrown either 'High + near' or 'low + far' and would then be thrown, and when the loser picked it up, it was game on

God i could play that right now, class game

 

No, round here we honestly called it knock a BELL run, dont ask me why

 

Differance being door bells were not invented when I use to play the game

 

Cos it seemed like fun as someone always got gripped when they fell over or got pushed into a pond
