if anybody has a problem with the euroforce download pm me - had to download it twice and then bodge the install !

missus had to come and tell me to go to bed at 3:40 this morning most of the time was downloading and installing !

No - according to the EA site - you have to apply 1.21 THEN EF

 

I might want to change that last comment - I've just installed it and it's bombed straight to desktop... 1.21 patch...

 

euroforce straight on top of 1.21 for me - worked fine with the snafu server

I can see that causing problems - if you aren't in a tank then you're an AT guy - or a support guy giving him ammo.....

 

just had a quick blast with one of the SNAFU guys. think he was impressed with my heli flying.. will keep checking the server for games. Thanks for the PM DrEvil

SF isn't a downloadable add-on if that's what you're asking mate. I brought mine from Tesco's for £14.99 if that's any help.

MAKE SURE YOU SELECT UK AS YOUR REGION BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!

A few other points about the EA downloader:

1) you need to register with EA, this account is used to track what downloads are available to you
don't loose this account info, as you need it for the downloader s/w too, for when it connects to EA.

2) Not sure if SF asks this, but Euro Forces does, your GAMESPYID is your BF2 id, PuffTMN for you Puff - you have to get this correct for EF to work (although it can be corrected later if necessary).
I think SF provides you with another CD key though... although I bought a retail pack from Amazon.
I pretty sure _RIP_ used the downloader for SF.

3) payment methods - I personally used the alternative payment method that is hosted by BT called BT click n buy, and had no issues - I would recommend you use the same, unfortunately it is another account. There is a link provided when you are asked to choose payment method.

In a manner of speaking...

the 320 odd Mb file gets copied to your EA downloader cache directory.

I simply copied the whole structure across onto my p.c. at home (used my work laptop to do the download) and ran the EA downloader straight from the directory without even installing it.

You DO need to ensure you copy the EA downloader directory to the same place on your home p.c. as it embeds paths to the app files (including downloaded files)

So if you installed to:

c:\program files\ea downloader

makes sure you copy to the same folder on the home p.c.

sorry guys, great server, but decided to sack it off .What happened to queueing for helis etc ? I died in a normal firefight, then was first for a heli, but got muscled out of the way by a SNAFU guy just so he could take it !! I thought the unwritten rule was to queue ?? well it is on most servers I've been on

anyway, only a game, good fun, shame the odd few can spoil it

 

which map --- not heard about queueing for helis - which snafu ??

if someone is already waiting then I don't hang around

 

it was on the BF2 SF map at about 11 pm. cant remember the guys name , I think he was called laserman !

 

my euro wont work as well it says map not allowed and directs me to a web page.. the one i paid by visa to download thursday afternoon ,,

at least ea are consistant NOTHING EVER WORKS
