Dont think it is out until tommorow. I'm going to wait and see how buggy it is and whether the new patch addresses any of the present issues. I've a feeling it's only going to be a compatability patch though. I'd buy it mainly for the city maps as BF2 is sadly lacking in this dept.

We will only be updating to it, *if* it works as a mod to our existing server.
That way we will run one Spec Forces night a week for those that want to play.

I've had BF2 for about a month, pre-orderd Special forces on the same day.
Went online the day I got it for a few hours, not been on it sinceonder2:
Probably because it takes 2 shots to kill someone from point blank range with shots to the face. Either that or I'm shtie at shooting
Hope SF is better

So that'll be why when I loose off at point blank into their chest they don't fall over?
Got to admit it's bloody frustrating when they then bunny hop in and shoot you once and kill you!

Mentioned last night about the DiNovo mouse back/forward buttons not working now in BF2 after installing Setpoint. Any thoughts, DrEvil? Starting to annoy me!

Not familar with the DiNovo mouse, what do you mean by back/forward buttons?
Setpoint 2.22 seems the newest... may be worth checking the BF2 controls config in game and setting things up manually... ?
I'm using a Saitek Gamer's Keyboard and Logitech G5 - awesome combo for gaming

That will explain why in the intro movie, the guy runs up to another guy and fires a full magazine (well almost) in to him and there is a delayed reaction of about 5 seconds before he died.
Must have been losing an awfull lot of times at Rock, paper scissors.
Atleast they didnt try and hide the crappy idea in the intro movie tho

Tried reprogramming in the controls section. Worked fine when I hadn't installed the Setpoint! Found a thing called Logigamer, but can't seem to get it to work.
And great news. The girlfriend is on nights on Tuesday as well! Fantastic, no need to bribe her to leave me alone. Must get hold of her shift pattern and adjust mine accordingly
With a bit of luck there may be a better turnout...!

I'd really like to think it would be worth it, but releasing an expansion so soon after the game is a bit rich, especially when they cant even be bothered to sort the present bugs and gameplay issues. DrEvil has said SF will be released in the UK this Friday.

Purchase and pre-load the game today. You’ll be one of the first to play on release day, November 22 at 1pm EST.
Anyhow, won't have until Amazon sort themselves out... so unlikely to get it this week (or next).

The 1.12 patch is now out, and as I thought it's a compatability patch only.
DrEvil, from what I've read on the net (though I might be wrong) a server will only be able to run original BF2 or BF2:SF maps, but not both in the same rotation. There are over 300 patched servers with the SF servers running SF maps and the BF2 servers running BF2 maps. Sounds a bit lame. Perhaps you could look into this.
What I have also gleaned is that a BF2:SF unlocked weapon can be used in vanilla BF2. Meaning that if you kill someone with a SF unlock you can use the weapon in BF2 briefly. These weapons are supposedly upgrades, so I guess EA is using this as a way to tempt you to buy SF. It's a bit shoddy that you will "have" to buy the expansion to have a level playing field (in BF2) against those people who have bought SF

Tues - BF2
Thur - BF2 Spec Forces
Sun - BF2
MPuk still haven't announced how this will be made available (ie if it will cost more on an existing server or require a new instance)... watch this space...
