i would like to say very well done to David, you must have a great sense of acheivement considering most, if not all, of the work was done by yourself.

i am sure its not finished yet as you say but you should be very happy with what you have got from the car at such a modest amount of boost.

hold on a min.......i thought rolling roads were for dyno queens

as i said before.....well done!

Cheers jonny.. havent seen you and the wooden spoon about recently

Given the problems, and the 'access' available to the RR its easier to break it in a workshop rather than on the road!!!

Besides it was more for mapping than power figures

Im quite happy with what Ive got.. just needs more time and work on it..

Well done David. I must see this beast in action one day. Will make a point of coming to an event especially! Knocking on the door of 600bhp is just mind numbing!!

One slightly off topic question.. How in Gods name do people like RC developments get 930bhp from an Evo motor and couple of others claiming over 700hp - all from something like 2.3 litre?? What makes them so different to Subaru motors in terms of power output?

The performance isn't so different so make up your own mind on the power claims

ANdy - Very true. Just been looking @ RC Development site and their best of 10.25 isn't that impressive considering they have something like 350bhp more than you...

And the Evo is running on full race fuel, and it blows up every 2 or 3 runs

runs on methanol AFAIK..

Its turbo is certainly capable of big power.. it is something like a T88 iirc.

Also shorter exhausts help.

The last time the RC evo ran, I was there to watch. 1st run of the morning was a cool 10.3 or something, but then they went for broke, and it did, gearbox casing the this time.

They couldn't understand how I managed to get times almost as quick with a "sedate" launch. They were loading onto the trailer just as I left the pod and drove home, with 8 "sedate" launches behind me and an intact gearbox (for now!).
