You absolutely must go to Environmental Services - Pollution department... (it's noise pollution) and you MUST keep a diary of the times you are disturbed by the noise.

The moment you complain and give their address they WILL be immediately contacted by the Council stating a complaint has been made and that they are being monitored...

Once you have collected enough evidence you can give it to the Council and they will decide to proceed further... if they do they will make unannouced visits and monitor the noise level - if they find it unacceptable a Court Order will be placed against the occupants and they can get into all sorts of trouble if they repeat the behaviour.

Yes, i could be accused of being a little to accepting at times and tend only to be ruthless or slightly harsher in my actions when doing business.
My fear is that if i do take that next step and speak to parents/employers then they may try to take it out on my g/f when i'm away, and i travel a fair bit.
I have always been fairly level headed and tend not to let my temper get the better of me but i'm getting more and more annoyed with this as it goes on each day!!

Ironically, there was no party last night! Wonder if they're SNetters?
One of them does have a modded civic so that could well lead to a connection.

Anyway, i have asked the question of my friends father to see who is the registered owner. I look forward to hearing, although i haven't decided fully what action to take when i find out.

where do you live? as suggested above, id be happy to come to a "meet" and have a group word with the smug litle *******. im sure that would soon alter their attitudes towards it. 35 blokes with attitude adjusters in hand, would alter most peoples naughty little ways pretty quick, plus we can have a little get togeather which is always good

 

Further to the comments on the above, if your flat is leasehold I'm pretty sure that there will be a clause in the lease (each flat's lease should be indentical) under tenant's covenants restricting noise. If they do not abide by these covenants, then they're in breach of their lease.

If the problem continues, the option is open to forfeit their lease. This is not an easy or pleasant business, but with the risk of them losing their investment, it's normally the best way to deal with this problem.
