I got this from the blackjaxx guy. Apparently, when the system has shut down the car and done it's 120db thing, the assailant will in most cases just leave the car where it is and walk away. Too much hassle to go back to the owner to ask for the code i think.

I hardly take mine to Brum now. If I do, it is such a stress. At least you (gene) didn't get hurt.

Greg - hope you're spirits are higher now and that you haven't hit the spirits.

I wonder whether it would be considered reasonable force just to shoot them in the b*lls ?

has anyone actually ever gone out baiting for these thugs... ie, HUGE dogs in the car, and just drive around these areas waiting for these thugs to attack?? Wouldnt this be a decent idea???

they attack the car, you jump out, they jump in and dogs eat them. easy?!

Or, fit a wire under your seat, so when you get out, you push a button and they are then electricuted on the spot. push them back onto the street and drive off, searching for the next w@nker to have a go...

sorry to hear this CONSTANTLY goes on in the UK, I really am. I mean, here where I am I hardly even need to close OR lock the car!! The garage can sit open for weeks, the keys in the ignition, the windows down and my mobile on the front seat, and NOTHING will happen! But I guess that comes from living in Munich Germany then doesnt it

Good luck on the man hunt. Fry those *******!

Cheeseboy,

You sound like a right vigilante !! Fancy coming round my house and sorting my neighbours out while you're at it.

In court for speeding next week having been followed by an unmarked police car for 13 miles, right up my chuffer, finally put my foot down to get away from it (with all these stories in mind), he waited till I was up to a high speed, used vascar to clock me and finally put the blues on.

11.30 at night, middle of nowhere - you're really going to hang about and wait to be jacked - NOT.

This isn't an anti-police thread neither, generally I respect what they do but on this occasion .............

20 seconds of them giving it welly with 3 other cars in tow remember, so really not just one car

Granted some will just walk away, but who said anythign abotu them coming back to ask you for the code? They'd just come back to beat the crap out of you for being so clever lol

Glad I live an area where this kind of thing doesnt happen. And as the post above has pointed out, I do feel that there is a huge sense of paranioa out there, although in the middle of nowhere yes it would be a bit scary!

Glad you're okay mate. I really feel for you. I got jacked not far from you (coventry) by an armed gang. I managed to escape but cops were a waste of time. These people will kill you for your cars. The gang wanted for mine are now wanted for murder in a near-by city. I didnt go near my car again for months. I hope you get it all sorted and that the crims get what they deserve.

Regards,

Bob

MarvSti5 Same thing happened to me a year ago had a unmarked police car(didnt know at the time) follow me, i clocked this green mondeo in my mirrors following me quite close, so i thought id drive round my estate to see if they would follow me as i was quite worried by then so i was just about to stick my foot down, when the blue flashing lights under the grill came on, and they pulled me over, when i said they got me worried and that it didnt look like a police car there exact words were "it looks like a police car to us" the cocky to55ers, to me i think they knew what they were doin, and a couple of seconds later if not for the flashing lights, i would have been doin 100mph and would have had a cameo apperance on police, camera, action.

Greg, did read yuor thread a few days ago and then sodslaw i get the same, hope you are ok and the same to bobs, perhaps even worse with yours due to the firearm, total ****e.
r1916v-tHE COPPERS TOLD ME THAT EARLIER IN THE YEAR THERE HAD BEEN A SPATE OF COUNTRYSIDE ROBBINGS,WHERE GANGS HAD DRIVEN AROUND REMPOTE AREAS IN THE COUNTRY LOOKING FOR CARS AT HOME(**** CAP LOCKS ON-SORRY) then burst into the homes for keys etc to take the cars, knowing that the response time of the police to remote places was crap, and ended getting most of the cars.
At the end of the day its bolox, all for anything that still couldve been a 4k early wrx, battered and bruised with a loud exhaust.
Like i said before, its back to driving with eyes everywhere and no enjoyment, rather than enjoying your ride.At least Santa pod was fun lol and nice to see loads of scoobys on the way back.

And to add insult to injury, though id better report it to police to look out for cars in case they tried someone else last night, and got a bollocking from the copper on the phone,as i rang local station and she said i shouldve dialled 999.
Cant win

I hate letting the missus drive mine for this very reason. Although hopefully my Wagon is a less obvious target...

As for phoning 999 - make sure you pull over first, or you will probably get done while the cops let the hijackers get away

Just heard from a friend of the g,friend who works in local docs, that a few weeks ago a guy came in for stiches to his head.Had been jacked in Marston Green for his Audi TT at gunpoint ad demanded his keys, apparantely he hurled his keys as far as he could.Jackers gave him a smack in the head with the gun and ran off.Obviously he had a bit of luck on his side that day,or they had a replica.Thought the TT fad had been and gone, perhaps not.
