It was through the Po** Ma**** account, but you can discard it anyway.. after another 4 hours I'm still clearing up the mess .I'll send you a link when its online so you can have a play
but if things dont go to plan , I've backed up the old forum just in case
had enough tonight though, I'll have another go tomorrow.
I'll be at the meet on Thursday, but will be late (about 8:30) , save me some fahitas

drop the O and go for the performance car club and I still have the banners, stickers, etc and web address from when I was the founder of the original performance car club many years ago (formally the EVO club).
I will dig them out and try to get to Thursdays meet (if the other half lets me)

Kev Turbo? That names rings a distant bell.. let me think now.. ah yes, the jammy bugger who won a WRC jacket & Firestorm at last years NBO!
Hi ya mate.. long time no see/hear or talk to
I'll give you 10/10 for timing though..
WYPCC ? Interesting. Does have a ring to it....
It will be interesting to see the stuff you've still got... If you can't make it down, let me know and I'll come and pick some stuff up to show the rest as the name change will be discussed on Thursday....
Thanks for the timely input mate..
Sticky.. what about some of the owners then?

Sorry I didn't reply earlier Steve, been a bit busy..
anyway... The name change was only a suggestion because some of the members have other cars, and we mite not all own Imprezas for ever, it would also open it up a bit for a bigger member base.
Nice to see your still around Kev.. whats the addy you've still got ?? and personally I think dropping the "O" is a good idea.
I'll be able to make it to the meet , but not till about 8:30 ish , so you'll have to fill me in on what the majority vote is.
Al. I tried to implement the old database of names/posts etc like you asked, but I'm afraid it wont work
would be good if more of you would look at the new site to give your opinions.

cheers

Hi,
Yes, I am still around and one of the many lurkers there are on SN.
The link is www.performancecarclub.co.uk currently bring hosted on a friends web design server. Check out the 309 Mi16 listed on the left hand side of the home page, my first ever magazine featured car. Also still has the pictures from my more active show days a few years ago and the time I took my dads Ford Cougar to a rolling road day and it pulled of 170bhp NO LIES (standard 2.0 litre)
I have as far as I know a big show banner approx 12 x 2 foot in size. This could be stripped of its current logos and replaced by a skilled vinyl man if there is one in the vacinity that isn't busy repairing an inferior Jap motor (sorry) and a load of stickers with the URL on of various sizes. I might even have things like show cover number plates. I will dig it all out and try to come along on Thursday. This depends on
1. How knackered I am as I have to do 21 x 12 hour shifts in 3 weeks swapping between nights and day (weds night last one but working fri day) and
2. if I am allowed out as I haven't seen her in doors for a week or so due to the nights.
I will try my best, hope to see you all there in my turbo charged monster!!

Howdo Kev,
"turbo charged monster" - you mean you've still got the diesel Jeep (or similar)?
Any chance of confirming what date the first Fenay Bridge meet was when you found me in the car park wondering whether it was the right day...? It's so Al C can write the club's history at some point. I'm sure I've got a digital piccy of the night somwhere which will tell me the date...
For everybody else...
On another slant, I'm with Maddy on the naming /direction of the club. We were originally set up as an Impreza / Subaru owners / interested party group. Making it open to anybody (with regards to the name) dilutes the focus. I'm not against anybody else turning up (we've a great crowd to date) but we'd become another non-descript car club that could end up with the undesirable elements of the M*x P*w*r end of the spectrum...
I've been in other "specifically named" car clubs where you feel as though you belong due to all having similar machinery and desires related to the marque and other people have a handle on what you are / what drives you. The other scoob clubs up and down the country (as witnessed at the NBO) have Subaru as their main description, e.g. LADS, TTS, WASOCS, Hants Scoobies, Cumbrian Scoobs etc. Why can't we keep up the "tradition"? At least getting an owners' group stand at next year's NBO3 might be a bit easier with a WYIOC type name rather than a general name...
That's my two-penneth anyway and if the Clinic don't get my scoob finished in time on Thursday, I'll be turning up in a xantia to park slap bang in the middle of the line (If you'll let me in the car park )
At least Sticky saw sense and bought an additional STi (flash git ) so he could leave the evo at home for the club nights
