I didn't- try reading the thread, I did not start this. I merely stated that a fair proportion of the owners seem to be a little low rent. Certainly the big wing/gold wheel saloon boys in any case.

As for 'celebrity boxing' I go sparring twice a week, if anyone wants to join my gym in Bayonne they are welcome to come and get their nose broken at their convenience.

Perhaps I should also point out now for those that can't be bothered reading the whole mess that I own an Impreza (for non-believers see photo earlier in thread) amongst other vehicles and therefore don't believe all owners fit into the 'chav' mould.

The fact it's now used as a workaday hack rather than being cherished as something 'special' makes no difference to the validity of my arguments.

Why the interest?

As it happens I own an old M3 as well as the Impreza which is soon to be joined by some kind of cheap rep mobile. I fail to see what difference what one owns makes to the validity of one's opinion.

I could own a Reliant Robin or an Enzo and in either case my points would be just as valid.

I have no pretentions as to the image engendered by any of the cars I own or have owned. Merely what I feel is an informed opinion on the stereotype seen by others.

Thought I'd add although I'm happy to provide the drubbing I didn't say I'd be doing it myself. The guys at the gym are only too happy to beat the English whenever possible.

They've given up on this particular nut as too hard to crack, I'm sure some of the cream puffs here would give them a good target however.

Old M3 a bit of a drug dealers car? Perhaps, I've always regarded it as a classic LHD track homgolation special but I can see where you are coming from, especially considering the plethora of E30 325i 'M-Tech' specials seen driven in the past by dodgy characters.

Wouldn't seek to deny it though as I don't give a toss about a cars image- as I'm sure you can work out from my choice of budget motors.

I need only explain something once to normal, rational individuals. If I am repeating myself to you it is because you are either dim witted or something unspeakable is happening to the information once it reaches your brain.
