400 BHP will tell more from 60-100 and even more from 100-125.

May be worth pointing out that XJR/XKR's are also auto's and therefore very easy to get the book figures out of compared to a manual 4wd turbo car. I would be slightly wary taking one on!

Jasoon

I reckon you should get him to take you out in his XKR and boot it (upto the legal limit of course ) and then you do the same in yours, and I think you'll end up both have some mutual respect of each others cars after that.

Had a look in EVO and it's 0-60 time is 5.2 ,EVO list the WRX PPP as 4.8 0-06 and a top speed of 150.
That for a UK WRX? Bit optimistic innit? (assuming the 06 is really 60)
Go on the jag.
Anyways, you're as bad as each other sh!tting goats over who will beat who.

Even if you can edge him in the oh so real world scenario of a 0-60 sprint his better aerodynamics and plenty of power on tap should see him moving forwards quite well from then on, and which would you rather be sat in whilst cruising down the M-way at a good clip.

Why not swap cars for a day instead

Just saw someone has called it an XKR rather than an XK8. If thats the case then I would most definately prefer the XKR having had the pleasure of taking one of these for a spin on a genuine private track. Superb car for casual high speed. A AWD rally mobile might take it in the 'twisties' but there are plenty of areas the XKR wins it back easily.

Rather than boot to national limit find somewhere quiet and boot it to well into 3 figures. You will be impressed. If your scoob can stay with it once it starts to motor then a genuine hats off to you.

Fair enough.
Didn't have the hart to tell him that it weighs about two and a half tone , handles like a brick and with it being an auto it will be quick but it wont be that quick.
Not sure who's underestimating who though
