the issue for me is im seeing rates as low as £150/day with typical ones at 250-300. this isnt enough for me to be able to put enough money away incase of future periods without work. especially as perm jobs come in at around 40k+ with pretty substantial benefits on top of that. what are other .net/c# contractors on? anyone know approximately?
my plan was to get a perm job somewhere on a direct train route to london - preferably to the north of london where its cheaper to live, say cambridgeshire (they will pay relocation of course), and then 2 years down the line, go contracting, and have the london market open up to me... which means more £, and less chance of being out of work.
thats my logic anyway
I second that motion. Do it now. Rates are on the up. There are plenty of jobs out there - took me two days to find a new contract. Rumour has it that IR35 is to be scrapped. If you were smart, it didn't affect you anyway
