WRX-RA STi insurance write off to.....
Kev,
Good to see you haven't run out of things to do to your car yet!
Won't flock and glue add weight? Better to use some rough sandpaper?!

Keep up the good work!

no idea
got them off my mate after he'd crashed his car, they were pretty beaten up managed to rescue them, the centre section is a carbon layer over the original plastic, the outer covers are carbon front & back
never seen them advertised, off an import so that might have something to do with it

I like the arty photo's
They're the first pictures like that I've seen in a projects thread. You could be starting something
The second photo looks like you have some fairy's or summat whizzing around!
Do the flocking so we can all have a larf if you 'flock it up'

went to Autosports yesterday
plenty of things to looks at
thought i'd managed to leave without spending any money until i enquired at the EBC stand about brake pads and was offered 50% off
so came away with a set of yellow stuff front and rear pads for 50 odd quid
thought it was worth testing them out for that money

No one was doing any whiteline stuff there
Will be getting the demon tyres/tweeks from the usual secret places..
She didn't smile because she didn't want him...last year they smiled at him.
Hope tomorrow won't be too busy with armchair racers.
My brake pads will cost me soon 4 x that Kev, wonder if they will stop 4 x better?
Should I use Kumho or Dunlop or Hoosier this season?
Graham

TBH, i used yellow stuff pads on Mikee's car at Donnington and they were really good, good at low temperature and never faded, hoping for much of the same
if you visit the Kumho stand you may well bump into her ^^^
can't say the same for Hoosier

small update, managed to replace the leaking IC spray bottle today. scrap yard and 3 quid later got me a tank well over 5L in size and 3 times as big as the previous one

wanted it located behind the seat for better weight distribution but i'd never be able to fill it up

did manage to relocate the washer bottle where i wanted to though

left a nice open space in the engine bay (note the coiled up IC tubing ready for IC spray Mk.IV
) just collecting a few things before i tackle that little project

you gotta laugh at my fuel reg mounting, kept fouling on the bonnet and shredding the vacuum piping
you can also see the boot lid minus the hinge and bonnet pins in place

I'm thinking of ditching my water spray all together. I measured the temps, with and without the spray and recorede a drop of 1-2C! Hardly worth the effort IMO. I have misters as well and I know the pattern covers the hole of the core.

Remember you need to get ice cubes into the bottle too.
Wish I had thought of using the TMIC tapped holes for the end brackets Kev, neat.
David at API has a real spec C tank for the IC from behind the seat..huge capacity.
TBH i agree with Floyd, the water spray iced or not does bugger all unless the TMIC core and end tanks are COLD, and that is hard to do with a TMIC and a long wait to start a hill climb, but a FMIC maight be different(?)
CO2 is the only answer?
Please work harder Kev so we can assess the sculduggary afoot.
Graham.
