5 amp, 13 amp or bath?

Are you going to bring it out on the next Peak Tour?

Talking finally done something to it

Constructive weekend Finally got the map finished didn't start off too well as the plugs i put in were misfiring like a ******* so back in went the pfr6b's gapped to .5mm now mapped upto 1.5bar tailing off to 1bar, pretty much maxed out the injectors and airflow, job done hopefully close to 340-350bhp now (made 322bhp with 1.35bar back in April) still mapped on just super thanks to Simon for all his hard work, got there in the end

also got round to fitting the new boot lid, not a great fit but for the price i can't argue, form follows function right? just out of interested, the weights are as follows:
glassfibre boot lid - 5Kg
my standard boot lid & spoiler - 13Kg
Mikee's type R boot lid & spoiler - 22Kg (don't quite believe it's that much heavier tbh)

Nice to see an update Kev.

No lock on the bootlid? I presume it's just operated via the latch then? If it isn't a secret can you let us know where it came from, fit doesn't look too shabby in the pictures.

Car's looking good.

Looks very fresh Kev, and even the wheels look right! (joke..love dark wheels on an Impreza)
You just now need to make some f/glass doors to really kill some weight off.

Still got the Smart?
My friend fits the roll cage to his very soon. Actually tried it on a hill climb track and it went really well! (killer understeer...)

More pics and more action; Project threads a bit thin now and I've no money to do the Next Stage.

Graham.

Carl, if you really want one PM me

Graham, i still have it, all fixed and done over 1,000 miles in it understeer, what's that?

only thing left to do is a bit more weight saving maybe, can't fault the handling so not much needed there and i can't do much more on the engine side of it as i've gone as far as i wanted to go with it want to get some other headlights, never liked them but they do the job (apart from lighting the road infront of you )

A stripped and gutted OE bootlid weighs around 7.5kg (weighed crudely).

Good luck on Sunday Kev.

That's motorsport!
But you got there and back ok so a plus.

On a hill climb, a run in the wet is usually about 5 secs ontop of the dry run for a 60 second run.

last update for 2005 - absolutely fack all most of my efforts are going into Mikee Singh's car for next year ATM will be stripping the interior out later this week ready for the roll cage so not had time to do anything to mine, not that it needs anything, running fine, been playing around with methanol when i get chance to drive it, impressed with the results (especially as it's cheaper than petrol )

i also have to come up with something to do to mine for next year to warrant keeping it, gearbox will be first on the list as it's shagged exterior could do with a makeover, i have a few ideas up my sleeve, then i really must put the car to some good use as it's sat on the drive 28 days a month

Wow what an excellent thread. Its quiet at work so I read all 27 pages. Really good that all the pics even from 2004 are still there.

Makes me wish I knew the first thing abouts cars and engines.

Simon.

Read all the Project threads and you will!
Kev:
Why is it that everyone is stripping cars out? Are they worried about D Wallis' '500 bhp/tonne'?

I think my box is on borrowed time too. you must be ready now for the Big Push to 400x400 x 6 speed?

Graham.

We're stripping them because they're not exactly road cars anymore (few of us are driving them everyday) so why carry all that extra weight around
