if it does turn out to be the reg, i won't be using FSE again, one failure is enough for me not to use something again

which model of SX reg do people go for? the -10 or -6 fitting (without gauge port)

and do you get the fittings with it for 8mm 'push on' piping?

How much can you expect to pay for an SX? I've been quoted £265 which seemed a bit steep!

Was that adjustable with a gauge? If so perhaps we should do a mini group buy!

I've been looking at the Aeromotive ones from the States Kev. Appear identical to the SX (even similarly priced) but have a threaded gauge port in the reg body. The only other obvious difference being it's rated to 70psi (4.8bar) idle pressure rather than 90psi (6.2bar).

Perhaps it is worth a group buy?

I have plenty -6AN/push fit connections btw if you need them.

Thats the main reason I didnt get an aeromotive, due to the max pressure (base fuel pressure + boost or whatever )

I just had a port put in the side of my sx reg

is there a down side to putting your gauge in one of the fuel pipes instead of the reg body?

Never thought you was a tart David.

Ditto, if i couldn't get the Aeromotive for a significantly better price than the SX i was going to borrow your idea of tapping the thread in the side of it.

Kev, i'm currently struggling to get the bare reg below £100 delivered from the States. Both the SX and Aeromotive are priced almost identically (within a few pence). Obviously there would be a saving for a few gauges (being charged $50/54 postage ). Not sure how Mark/Alyn etc compare to that?

don't think you'll get better than that from the states, not sure how many i can get shipped in one go without it setting the custom's alarm bells ringing

my wiring looms isn't quite as healthy melted on the DP, one wire being the crank position sensor, this is why you don't change clutches at 2 in the morning

Shame about the weekend Kev

I'm sure you'll bounce back as you normally do - and it sound's like you're most of the way to being sorted already.

While we're on the subject of your old Leggo - here's another shot, next to CharlieWhiskey's old wagon
