They were a dealer fit option on the v6 in Japan and were on it when I got it.

They take some getting used to but they're great for parking. You think you're right up against the kerb and are about to mess your alloys, then when you get out, you're 6" exactly off the kerb bonus!

Question I've got one...

Its about half way through this thread.

Flocked dashboard, WRC rear spoiler, P1 seats, P1 18" WR wheels.

Fatmanscooby, your wheels look awsome mate. What make are they? Could you post us a picture of it outside!

Nick

Fatmanscooby, That looks well smart. Wheels look like those expensive Blitz items. Is that a Carbon bonnet I see?
Have you had any other performance enhancing mods as well as the Front Mount?

Housequake, cool mate. Make sure you keep them nice and clean!

Front fog cover STi stickers don't look standard and missing WRX stickers on quarters

Edited to say it has the 'pink stars badge as well and not the 'i'

Default Octane boost

I used to use NF (Nitrous Formula) 120ml to a tankful and then a full bottle of Millers Octane plus every other tankful just for a change.

NF is about £16 but you get about five or six tank fuls out one bottle and Millers is about £3.50 but you use a full one.

I used to get mine from http://www.performancesubaru.co.uk and buy about six bottles at a time.

I say 'used to' because I have just had a remap and mine now runs on Optimax alone.

As for the KL, I think he means a knock link. It's a device that senses knock in the engine and alters the ignition accordingly, again a remap sorts this out.

Good luck with your car m8, I'm grinning for ya!

You sure will, just be careful. Type R's can give unwary drivers who're used to front wheel drive a nasty surprise on roundabouts. It isn't like the UK spec car that can be very forgiving.

I'm not implying you're a bad driver, all I'm saying is that Type R's need to be treated with respect.
